MICHELLE’S POV

I didn’t need to be told twice. Paul didn’t have to threaten me again or explain himself in another cruel way. The truth was already clear. I had no power here. None at all. The only thing I still had was my love for my mother, and Paul knew it.

So I made my choice. I chose to do the right thing — leave this house immediately.

I wiped my tears, stood up from the floor, and grabbed my bag. My body felt empty as I packed the few clothes I came with. I had to leave the house. Kiera

Michelle's pov. I didn't buy the story Lana was selling. There was no way something like that could pass of as a coincidence. And I was a coincidentalist. Lana insisted that they booked this woods because she has been getting some “fragment of her memories” after she got attacked, and decided to check the cabin out since it was the closest thing similar to where the original memory was from. Call me a bitch, but I kind of wished that mysterious person that attacked her had finished the job. Then I won't have to keep up with such bullshit. Kieran only agreed to it because Adrian — whom he's reason for coming isn't still clear — insisted that Kieran let them stay. Let them catch up like old times. Apparently Adrian's parents used to drag Kieran with them any time they went for hunting or camping. The two spent the whole night talking about the times they spent together. They talked about their first kill. Their first rock climbing. They talked about everything I hoped they don't f

  • MARRIED TO MY EX FIANCE'S STEP BROTHER    The space between us.

AUTHOR'S POV. Michelle had watched eleven tutorials. Eleven long boring tutorials. She followed everything in the tutorial, but the whole thing kept collapsing every time she touched it. Sometimes the wind did the job for her. “Okay,” she muttered to herself, gathering the poles off the ground for the fourth time. “Okay. Poles first. I know this.”The tent disagreed. It folded in on itself like it was personally offended by her existence and landed flat on the ground again.Michelle stood over it, hands on her hips, breathing through her nose. She thought about her bed. Her soft, warm, completely assembled bed that had never once collapsed when she looked at it. Her bed that did not require instructions or poles or any form of human suffering. She missed her bed deeply. She really wished she had not insisted on this challenge. “I am not calling Theo,” she said out loud, to no one. “I am absolutely not calling Theo.”She picked the poles up again. An hour later, the tent was standi

Michelle's pov. “This is fun, isn't it?” I asked, trying to lighten the mood. Kieran did not appreciate that as he shot me dagger stares. I swallowed hard, and looked away. Kieran's did not like doing something against his will, and he doesn't hesitate to make that pretty clear. If Kieran wanted to get out of here, he would. No offence, but I could take down those guys if I was desperate. “Hey guys,” One of the men, Theo, came up to us. “I see you guys want to go for a walk in the woods.” “Yeah,” I nodded, wearing my backpack. “I've never taken a walk in the woods before. Okay, just once. But that was more like running from the cops when I attended a party I wasn't suppose to attend in high school.” “Well, this is nothing like this,” he waved it off. “I mean you are going to be running, but from a beast.” His eyes flicked to Kieran, who was still looking disgusted about the whole situation. I quickly got the message. “No, no, no,” I waved it off. “This strictly educational.” “

Michelle's pov. One moment I was making something to feed my hungry stomach, and the other moment I was hanging on a thin line between life and death. My eyes widened, breath caught, my body stuck frozen in place as the knife barely missed my face. My body shook in fear, legs almost giving out, but they didn't move. They couldn't. “Michelle,” he called, his voice softer. His deep voice was enough to make my knees give out, I fell to the floor, my body still shaking. I could feel something wet sliding down my face. My hand slowly went to my ear, and slowly I checked it. It was blood. I was bleeding. I wanted to scream, but I was too shaken for any sound to come out, my heartbeat quickened. It beat so fast I feared it might burst out of my chest. The room started spinning, and I fell down. I was expecting the cold hard floor, but it was a soft surface. I just realized that Kieran was already with me, his arms wrapped around me, as he held my face to his chest. He placed his chi

Kieran's pov. “You must have some kind of hobby?” That was the most ridiculous question Michelle have ever asked. And she asked a lot. So many that I'm sure that's the only thing that keep her brain working. Trust me, it's very hard to resist the urge to break that head open to understand how such fragile brain work. Her question wasn't ridiculous because every normal person... Sorry, every living person — I knew damn well I wasn't normal —had some kind of sport or work they enjoyed doing. I did. Few, but I still had somethings I loved doing. In fact, I had two favourite things — watching Adrian torture someone. Damn, that boy was good. Not as good as me, but watching someone who was almost good as me is a scene that I could never get tired of. And the second thing I loved doing was shoving my cock into her holes. I still don't know which one is my favourite, but I had a feeling I was going to find out, after fucking her virgin ass. Fuck, now I'm hard thinking of how nice it

Michelle's pov. Kieran stared at me for a moment, like he was trying to read through every dark secret I had, when those I didn't know of. I almost retracted my statement when he nodded. That was all. Just one simple faint nod, and he turned and walked away. I fought back the urge to scream or run away in embarrassment. He could have at least given a response — verbal response. I inhaled deeply and quickly followed, slipping into the elevator before the door closed. He pressed a button and we started moving up. The whole journey in perfect silence. The only sound I could hear was my heart beating against my cage. The door opened, and I walked out, heading towards the room in a fast pase. I pulled our the car from my purse and slipped it in the lock, opened the door, and walked in. Kieran followed behind me. “I'm not sure,” he started. “But something tells me something is wrong? Did I do something wrong?” I whipped my head to him, and laughed. A quick awkward sound that sounded

Kieran's pov. I led Esme into my study, already decided on what I was going to do — I was going to kill her if I had to.I don't beat women, but that doesn't mean I won't kill them if they are a threat. As soon as we entered the room, I slowly closed the door, and turned to her with a murderous l

  • MARRIED TO MY EX FIANCE'S STEP BROTHER    Ghost from the past.

KIERAN'S POV. Everyone loved a hero story so I chipped in Michelle's story. The whole world saw me as a hero who wanted to bury my stepbrother's past, and in the process, I fell in love. Michelle and Kieran weren't together — physically— for months. So it was easy to control the narrative that Mi

MICHELLE’S POV. I went back to my room and shut the door quietly behind me, wondering what just happened. I wasn’t this mad when Damien cheated on me, so why do I feel this way?All I can say is she was lucky she walked out with only a busted nose—and that was just me holding back. I sat on the
