Raina’s state was heightened and primitive.

Smug and feral, my mate knew what she desired, and she was hellbent on taking it. Her growl and posture were everything but subservient. Her eyes still glowed with a randy fuchsia.

Despite my rising rut, she was fragile and precious. I had to keep grounded in reality to play it safe.

Taking control of the situation, I elevated myself to sit upright. However, that was no good for her.

With a haughty lift of her chin, Raina pushed at my chest with a finger. “Down, boy.”

She giggled, tapping her upper lip with her tongue, and waggled her brows at me.

“So naughty,” I muttered. It was not a complaint.

I reclined on the gray sheepskin rug. My body was so obedient to her commands. It's my wolf’s doing.
