The first thing I noticed when I entered the mansion was how it was colder when compared to the usual weather of Midwick. It looked absolutely different without all the lights and decorations of the ball.

But in a strange way it felt familiar. “I think you’ll really like your room.” Cadell said from behind me with a very calm tone.

“Of course, she will.” When I heard her voice, I was more shocked than anything. Sheila looked beautiful in her long brunette hair and tall frame. I almost didn’t recognize her.

She wore a big smile on her face, “I’m so glad you made it.” She wrapped her arms around me in a tight hug. “Thank you so much for what you did.” She whispered gratefully in my ear.

I awkwardly patted her back, “It was nothing. I just did what I had to do.”

She pulled away holding my shoulders, “I’m really sorry about your mother by the way.” She tilted her head to the side, “Do you have any idea on her whereabouts?”
