Then I turned to Fernandez who had just started to roll the bandage he held around my shoulder. “How long is this going to take?” I asked him as sweat beads coated my forehead and dripped down the sides of my face.I was in pain but I'd experienced worse so I knew I would survive it. All I could think about was seeing Taylor and putting her mind to rest because I could hear how worried she was over the phone.“Just a moment boss. All that's left is the bandage and plaster. Then we can leave” Fernandez replied, his gaze fixed intently on my bruise and I groaned when he suddenly pulled at the bandage to tighten it around my shoulder. “Sorry boss. Then we spent the rest of the time watching TV together and I had to admit, the show was a good one.Yet, I kept getting distracted with worried thoughts about Michael. He was meant to be back already. He told me he would come back to me and then we could talk… if he was ready.But instead, he was taking unusually too long and it was making me think about him. Making me hope nothing had happened to him like I suspected.I picked my phone up from beside me and dialed his number. It rang and rang and there was no response until it stopped ringing. That compounded my worry and my heart began to race as I wondered what could have happened to him.Alissa noticed the change in my demeanor and took her eyes off the screen to look at me while I stared at my phone as I breathed heavily. “You look pale, Taylor. What's wrong?” She asked me, placing a hand on my arm and I forcefully tore my gaze away from my phone to look at her.
