~TESSA~

THE FOLLOWING DAY...

The moment we pulled into the Bishop Bikes lot, I felt it... that sound.

A deep, rumbling chorus of engines under repair.

Ryder smiled... he looked happier here.

Like something loosened in his shoulders the second he stepped out of that polished world and into this one...

“Welcome back to the heart of the beast,” he said, glancing back at me as he tossed his helmet onto a nearby bench.

I followed him into the open garage bay, where three guys were arguing over what sounded like a faulty timing chain.

The place was half chaos... half choreography.

I mean... tools clinked. Classic rock blasted from an old radio.

There was a rhythm to basically everything.

And when they saw Ryder?

Everything stopped.

“Look who actually showed up,” Knox said, stepping away from a vintage Ducati and wiping his hands on a rag.

His blonde hair was messier than usual...

“Figured you’d gone soft living in the mansion.”

“I got dragged here by someone more intimid

SATURDAY... (MARCUS REYNOLDS) Marcus sat in his penthouse apartment, lights off, curtains wide, cigarette burning slow between two fingers he didn’t realize were trembling. On the coffee table in front of him sat three phones... two dead burners and one sleek black one with a single number dialed. He stared at it. His jaw twitched. He pressed call. It rang twice before her voice came through. “...Hello?” That voice. He closed his eyes and grinned. “Well, well. The runaway answers.” Silence. “Don’t tell me you thought I’d forget you that easily.” Still no response. But he could hear it... her breathing, the stiffness in it. Still scared. That made him smile. “You’ve been running around like some sweet little trophy girl. But we both know the truth, don’t we, Tess?” His voice dropped. “You weren’t made for people like him.” Another pause. Then finally, she spoke. And her voice wasn’t shaking. “I’m not yours, Marcus. I never was. You just made

~RYDER~ We sat down like we hadn’t just lit a social grenade in the center of the restaurant. Tessa was still breathing fast... Her fingers clutched the edge of the cloth napkin like she was trying not to tremble. I reached across the table and gently took her hand in mine. “You okay?” I asked, voice low. She nodded, but her eyes were still fixed on the path Clara had been dragged through just minutes ago. “Yeah. Just… surprised I didn’t throw the whole table at her.” A grin tugged at the corner of my mouth. “You did good.” “I slapped someone in public.” “And she earned every millimeter of that slap.” Tessa looked at me then... really looked... and I saw it hit her. The shift. That she didn’t have to shrink anymore. That she wasn’t the girl who used to survive bullies in silence. She was the woman who threw wine in their face and held her own. A waitress walked to our table... “Can I, um… bring you a new glass of wine?” Tessa smirked. “Yes. One I don

~TESSA~ It was happening! Again... My second date with the love of my life... Ryder Bishop. This time, it was rather... let me say... the quite luxurious way. The car pulled up in front of the restaurant like it belonged in a movie. It was one of the Bishop family’s sleek black sedans... tinted windows, polished chrome, a driver who wore gloves and didn’t say much beyond “Miss Tessa, sir.” I was already nervous. Not because of the restaurant. Not even because of the dress Debbie had picked out, though the slit was higher than I was used to. I was nervous because this was the first time Ryder and I were stepping out in public as… us. Since we moved into the mansion. No more hiding. No more fear. He got out first, walked around, and opened my door with that casual ease that somehow made it feel like he was both my bodyguard and my boyfriend. The night air smelled like jasmine, and my heels clicked against the pavement as I stepped out. Ryder’s hand brus

~TESSA~ My man was the best you could ever find on the planet. No wonder it had fallen so hard for him. He is... and would always be my everything... and if I was given another chance at life, I'd choose him over and over again... Without thinking twice. Ryder was the perfect match for me... ~ “Okay,” I said, staring at the beast of a bike like it might grow teeth. “So you’re telling me I... won’t die if I touch this thing?” Ryder stood beside me, arms crossed, grin permanently installed on his rugged face. “You’re not going to die. You’re going to learn.” I narrowed my eyes. “You say that like you weren’t a full-grown biker when you were ten.” “I was eleven,” he corrected. “And I crashed into a garden shed on day one. You’ll do better.” I gave him a look. He winked. I swung my leg over TB—Tessa Bishop, still made my chest flutter... and tried not to show how ridiculously nervous I was. It felt solid between my thighs. Powerful. Like it could take me

  • MY HOT BIKER SAVIOUR    Chapter 46

~TESSA~ I was halfway down the stairs when I heard Debbie’s voice. “No. Nope. Not today, mister. You’re grounded.” Ryder’s grunt was the response. That... and what sounded like the jingle of bike keys being snatched from his hand. What was going on? I needed to find out for myself. I peered around the corner. Debbie stood between Ryder and the front door like a mom who’d caught her kid sneaking out on a school night. One hand on her hip, the other waving the keys with practiced menace. “You said you were taking today off.” “I didn’t mean off off,” Ryder muttered. “I just wanted to stop by the shop... ” “Nope. Unacceptable. Your face is still healing from the last brawl, and Tessa nearly got tackled yesterday. You’re not going anywhere but into a peaceful, romantic, possibly flour-covered day with your girlfriend. My sister-in-law needs some time with you." I stepped fully into view, crossing my arms and trying not to grin. “I like this plan.” Ryder looked be
