Chapter 22: Sky - One Scary Looking Demon
The door behind me closed with a loud noise that made me jump. It was pitch black and I couldn’t see anything. If it wasn’t for Jax’s presence, I would have been terrified, but I knew he wouldn’t let anything bad happen to me.
The torches on the wall lit on fire, casting an amber light over the room. The room was different from the pass way we had just walked through. Instead of the pebbled stone walls, the walls were smooth, and the ceiling was lower. If I didn’t know any better, I could almost believe that we were in some sort of basement. The weak white light in the shape of a dome in the middle of the room caught my attention. I looked closer and saw a skinny woman laying on a small bed.
