Chapter 11

I opened my eyes when I heard the door latch. Instead of Sasha coming up the stairs I found a note he wrote on the pillow next to me.

‘Gone for a run. Be back soon, don’t leave’ followed by 11 numbers. I’ve always assumed every country followed the same phone number pattern but maybe Russia was different and this was his phone number. I looked at the clock and saw that it was only 5 am. I shook my head. ‘Crazy man’ I muttered. I held the note in my hand and closed my eyes.
