Chapter 2

At the pack house of Blue-Eyed Pack...

"Mom, what's wrong?" Alpha Marcus asked upon entering the study room.

"Marcus..." His mother worriedly said. "I'm glad you're already here."

"Why, mom? What's the matter?" Alpha Marcus asked in a wondering manner.

"It just so happened that Kai would be here in a moment."

"Kai? The Oracle? Why?"

"He informed me that he will visit us today 'cause he wanted to talk to you personally." Her mom seriously said.

"Okay...then why do you have that such look?" Alpha Marcus said upon noticing her mother's facial expression.

"I don't know, son." Her mother hesitantly answered. "It's just that..." Her mother sighed. "I got this feeling that something different may happen today."

"Don't overthink too much, mom." Marcus gently patted her mother's shoulder. "It will just stress you out."

"Yeah, I know." Margareth sighed.

After ten minutes of waiting, Kai, the Oracle, arrived at the pack house.

"It's good to see you again, Alpha." Kai greeted Alpha Marcus. "You too as well, Margareth." Margareth just nodded.

"Same here, Kai." Alpha Marcus answered. "Please have a seat."

"I came here because I find this matter urgent."

"What is it, Kai? You make me nervous." Margareth said.

"It's about you, Alpha Marcus, and a certain prophecy."

"What? What prophecy?"

"I've been with this vision for two consecutive months, now. There will be an upcoming great problem with the pack. Different species will be attacking one another. Chaos will manifest. But behind this problem, you, Alpha Marcus, will meet your mate in the process. You two are destined to be together. You two are the chosen ones. Your mate will bear the future ruler that will bind the human world and this world. But other species are'nt in favor of this. They don't want the future ruler to be born."

"If that's the case, then I need to find my mate, now. But how?" Marcus curiously asked.

"Don't worry about that, Alpha. You'll get to meet each other sooner. The two of you are destined to be together." Kai explained.

"Kai, do you have any idea about my son's mate?" Margareth asked. "So that, it will be easier for us to find her."

"I don't know anything about her, Margareth. But based on my vision, she came from a powerful species."

There are several species in the underworld. There are spirits, werewolves, vampires, fairies, mermaids and etc. They are harmoniously living with one another. But if chaos gonna took place just like what the Oracle said then, that'll be a big problem.

"Ohh..."

"You need to act fast, Alpha. Other species were already planning their attacks. Some wanted to locate your mate's whereabouts while others wanted you dead."

"I know, Kai. And don't worry, I already have a plan in mind."

"That's good to know, Alpha."

After an hour of conversation, Kai, the Oracle left the pack house.

"Mom, I'll go back to the base." Alpha Marcus said.

"Why such in a hurry?" Margareth asked. "I thought you'll be staying here tonight."

"Yes, Mom. I'm staying here tonight. It's just that I need to finish those pending tasks at the base first."

"Okay, son. See you later." Before Alpha Marcus left, he embraced her mother and whispered.

"Mom, don't worry too much. Everything will be alright." Margareth nodded.

After that, Alpha Marcus went out of the pack house.

"Miguel, double the security of our borders. If the pack's patrol isn't sufficient, then do some additional. We have an impending crisis to resolve." Alpha Marcus said to his Beta as he was about to ride the car. "As for mom, ask Madison to accompany our mom more often starting today."

"Yes, Alpha."

Alpha Marcus rode the car and left. On his way to the base (human world), his convoy needs to surpass the busy street of West City. There was a traffic jam on the road on both left and right sides. Alpha Marcus curiously opened the car window on his side to see what caused that traffic jam. And apparently, a motorcycle accident caused it. But in a minute or so, it was immediately taken care of. As he was about to close the car window, a scent of honeysuckle and vanilla reached his nostrils.

"Mate...mate..." Morris, Alpha Marcus wolf happily reacted.

"Yes, Morris. Our mate is here." Alpha Marcus said while going out of the car. He tried to locate the scent. But it vanished after a few minutes.

"Maybe it's not the proper time for us to meet her." Alpha Marcus whispered to Morris.

"Yeah, I thought so, too. But at least, we already knew that she was near to us."

"Yeah."
