Chapter Thirty-Eight

The door to the pack house was opened. The place was filled with people as they did whatever they were doing. The noise of chattering disturbed my sensitive ear. My blood was humming loudly, snapping and cracking, getting the attention of everyone. My wolf demanded acknowledgment and respect and she didn't like that she walked in and nobody gave her that. The whole place was silent for just a minute before chattering began again but this time, it was moderate. A few people scurried past bowing their heads. My wolf smirked.

'what a weirdo' I internally said to my wolf. Forgetting I was referring to myself.

"Hey Alaia," Luke said. He looked back at the people in the room chuckling lightly as he saw the uneasiness of the people, my blood kept humming loudly. It was compelling their attention.

" Can you tone it down a little, Alpha" Evan said speaking for the people in the room. Some looked at me in annoyance, because they were involuntarily giving me what I wanted.
