Chapter Forty-three

There are a lot of problems on our hands now and I don't want to add grudges to it. I knocked on the door of Jack's house. I know Jack would be in the training ground but I was hoping Jerry would be at home. I smelled him in the house immediately after I got here, so I knew he was deliberately not answering and that is why I continued knocking persistently.

He unlocked the door but didn't open it. after I realized he wasn't going to open it, I turned the knob, opened the door and walked in.

"What are you doing here?" He asked me. I turned to see him behind me closing the door.

" I wanted to come see how you were doing" I bit my lower lips in nervousness.

His eyes flickered at the motion before he went back to drinking a glass of scotch. Chugging down the whole thing. He took the bottle and was about to drink from it when I snatched it from his hands.

" I am fine" he slurred. Am I supposed to believe that when he is drinking this much and there is a visible bag under his eyes?
