Married To A Mafia Boss

Six cars arranged in a convoy pulled up at the entrance of a house. The driver in one of the cars turned to face the person sitting at the back.

"We're here boss" The man grunted a reply and alighted from the car. He was dressed in a black suit and wore dark shades.

The moment other occupants in the other cars noticed he was down, they all alighted from their cars. They were also dressed in the same outfit as the man.

Two guys approached the man, one of them holding a briefcase that contains some documents.

"Let's go, boss," The one without the briefcase said.

The three men walked towards the house leaving the rest of the men waiting by their cars.

They arrived at the door and one of the men pressed the doorbell. The door was opened by a maid that seemed to be in her late teens.

She shivered at the sight of them, feeling intimidated by their presence.

"Come in," She said meekly with her head bowed, making way for them to get through.

She shut the door and directed them to the patio. The three of them stood, staring intently at the house as if they were on an inspection.

The maid sighed in relief immediately after she saw her boss approaching them. She quickly bowed to him and took her leave.

"Mr. Corleonesi," The man said immediately as he got close to them. He seemed to be in his mid-fifties and was dressed in simple house wear.

"Mr. Grayson," The man in question spoke for the first time, acknowledging him with a nod.

Mr. Grayson directed them to sit on the couch. "I was surprised when I got your call, saying you wanted to meet as soon as possible."

"I'm going to say this without mincing words as I don't like to waste time. I'm here to marry your daughter" He said brimming with confidence.

Mr. Grayson was taken aback by the sudden statement.

"I do understand that you're a respectable person in the business world Mr Corleonesi, but I'll not have you barge into my house only to spit out nonsense."

Mr. Grayson suddenly felt the change in the atmosphere. The man seated before him had an intimidating aura.

He has been in the presence of more powerful men but this man alone was more intimidating than them.

He looked at Mr. Corleonesi but couldn't get the expression on his face due to the dark shades. But he felt that he was angry at the way he spoke to him.

"I'll let that slide since you'll soon become my father-in-law," Mr. Corleonesi said as his lips curved up negligibly.

"If it were to be another person, he would've been 6ft under the ground by now," He said this time around his mouth in a grim line.

Mr. Grayson used his hands to hold his legs to stop them from shaking. This man was as dangerous as he's heard. He didn't know why Mr. Corleonesi was suddenly in his house asking for his daughter's hand in marriage, but he knew one thing...

He wasn't going to grant his request.

'Who marries off his daughter to someone who just confirmed that he could kill someone.'

Mr Corleonesi noticed that Mr Grayson was deep in thought and from the look of things, he would turn down his offer.

But he came here for one thing, and he wasn't going to leave without getting it. He has been patient enough waiting for the right time to do this.

"Enzo, explain things to him" He commanded in a deep voice.

The man that held the briefcase opened it and brought out some documents.

"It says here that you're in a lot of debt and by tomorrow, your company will be going bankrupt" Mr. Grayson flinched, how did they find out about his situation? He had made sure it was top secret.

Enzo continued, "We're here to offer you a solution, a simple and easy one at that. We'll help you clear your debts in a twinkle of an eye but at the expense of your daughter."

"You just have to sign the papers that Mr. Corleonesi here, is free to marry your daughter."
