Chapter 17: The Business Party
When Veena went downstairs a scrumptious meal is already prepared on the table. Abby bowed slightly and helped her settled down on her seat.
"Boss has already left because of an emergency meeting. He wishes you to enjoy this delicious meal he prepared." Abby said.
"Please send him a message of thanks for me, Abby." Veena smiled.
This is a new discovery from her husband. She tasted the food and sighed at the delicious burst of flavors. She never knew he could cook. His skills is far superior than the expensive restaurants she went to.
"A gift from the boss. He requests that you'll open it tonight and wear it for the party. He will meet you there. I will also join you as a guard me, boss and Felix will be keeping an eye on you." says Abby.
"You don't have to go through lengths just to protect me. I can handle myself well." Veena frowned. What's with the sudden protectiveness?
"I'm sorry but this is boss' orders." Abby apologized.
