Chapter 16: Insults
Corinne gave Veena a house tour and introduced every family member of the Rossenovs. Olivia Rossenov was their mother and passed away because of heart attack. Their father married Kiera Austen, the step mother, and their half-brother, Fabian, was from a third mistress. Claude Gregory is their loyal butler and has always took care of the siblings throughout his life.
"So, is Kiera the head of the family? She looks too young to be your step mom." Veena asked.
"No. My grandfather accepted her into the family but it doesn't mean that she's the next head of the Rossenov family."
"I apologize for prying but may I know why?"
Corinne sighed and stopped by the picture frame of her grandfather. "Kiera Austen is my father's mistress."
Claude cleared his throat. "Miss Corinne, Miss Veena, dinner is served." he announced.
"Come, the whole family will be happy to meet you." Corinne grabbed her hand and pulled her to the dining hall.
