Gavin Adams and his Wife Doris found their way to the Smith’s Masion hoping and praying they accept their deal to sign a contract with Gavin’s company, on getting there they were treated properly and asked to wait in the sitting room on the arrival of Mr and Mrs smith. When the Smith’s arrived they greeted each other warmly and all sat down.

Maya could hear her stepsister Mira yelling on top of her voice saying she won’t marry a man she has never seen her entire life not even on social media or tv, saying haven’t they heard about the rumors people said he looks like a monster I will never marry him dad and that’s on Period

Mr and Mrs Adams exhale after few seconds of silence Doris broke the silence saying “Dariling you know Mira here isn’t your only child right? What about Maya? Maya can replace Mira can’t she? After all she havent been so useful to us but now she can be” after minutes of thinking Gavin nodded in agreement at that moment Maya’s bag fell from her hands by mistake then they knew she has been there all this while and heard all they said.

She broke in tears hearing everything and she walked to her father saying I am your daughter would you really give me out to marry someone I don’t know because of some business deal? Can’t you treat me like a daughter for once? What have I done to deserve all this?

At night Maya tossed around her bed thinking and crying not knowing what to do she grabbed her Coat 🧥 and left the house went straight to the hospital to see her mother she spoke about everything to her mother even tho she got no response she knew that was her safe space.
