Chapter 6: THE NEWLY WEDDED COUPLES

It’s was the next morning after their wedding, Maya Woke up on his chest, her husband’s chest she smiled touching him on his face but felt a bit of a headache

You are here she said, yes I am he replied

So what about now Maya continued are we going to act as married couples out of the public eyes?

Of course said Jason but we have to get to know each other very well first.

I can’t remember anything after the wedding yesterday Maya said

You were in the other room Jason responded but you had this nightmare I heard you scream in your sleep I had to bring you here to stay with me so I can be by your side Jason said

Maya sat up on the bed feeling sad, I’m so ashamed she said

Why should you? Jason answered I’m your husband you don’t have any reason to be

I don’t just want you getting the wrong idea Maya answered

How could I? Nothing happened between us….at least not last night he said she tapped him softly on his chest and they both chuckled.

You know I’m very attracted to you and I hope that you feel the same said jason. I mean I know that you did the first time we met at the pool side but I mean we were both drunk, So how about now that we’re sober? He asked

She didn’t respond but looked him into his eyes and kissed his lips gently then stopped they starred are each other for few seconds and he initiated the second kiss

He kissed her so deeply that they fell back on the bed and continued kissing passionately and made love.

When they were done she rested on his chest both covered with the duvet on the bed he laughed softly

What is it? she asked, I mean we both have your stepmother Doris to thank for this

Don’t ruin this moment Please she said while they both laughed.

While Jason left for his study she put on her robe and went out of the room then she met a maid at her door

Hi didn’t realize you were here Maya said

Good day Mrs Smith, the maid greeted Mr Jason said I should help you pick up a dress and prepare you for the dinner this evening

Uhm…What dinner? Maya asked

The auction dinner the maid said

She brought a bulk of clothes on a clothing rank and picked out one saying I think this would look perfect for you

Can I try it on? Maya asked

Sure you can try them all on said the maid

After picking out a dress to wear Maya, Maya went to meet Jason in his study room when she met Jason going through a particular file.

Hey she said what are you reading?she asked

Uhm he stuttered Maya you have to see this he said

Maya went to the desk reading the files in his hands but not understanding what it’s meant so he explained

Your mother was the founder of your father’s company, she was the owner of the company she built it’s from scratch but when she met your father, she loved him but he was just a delivery guy because of the love your mother Had for him she signed the company over to him naming it after him and that was how the company became Gavin’s Enterprise.

Maya was shocked, speechless, confused and sad all at the same time. She looked at Jason and said what is the plan I have to get my mother’s company back and Jason assured her she shouldn’t worry she will.
