Consequence

Tasteless, that's how Elena felt when Ray kissed her lips after they finished saying their wedding vows which were witnessed by the priest and many guests and relatives. She didn't dare to look any other way, other than bowing in front of Ray who was now her husband. She noticed that there were a lot of cameras staring at her.

The flashes of the camera light made her imagine that her portrait married to Ray, would be widely circulated in various mass media. she wondered what the reporters were going to name the discourse about her marriage because everyone knew that her husband was not Oskar, but Ray, even though the invitation was written with Oskar's name, not Ray's. But who would have thought that today, at this moment, she is married to Ray.

"It's okay, it won't be a problem if you show them your face," Ray whispered.

"I can't ..," Elena whispered with her tears falling just like that. "Everyone knew that I was going to marry Oskar, but now I'm married to you. I don't think your actions will ever save me from shame..my family will still feel ashamed because the one who married me was not my future husband!" She continued.

Ray sighed.

"Don't waste time just to embarrass yourself more..better now come down from this aisle with a smile and show that you are happy for this marriage even though I know your heart is sad. I'm sure there will be a way so that today's chaos is not known to the reporters," he said then grabbed Elena's right hand and intertwined their fingers. "Everything will be fine as long as we act like a couple in love."

Elena just kept quiet and glanced at Ray in horror.

Ray ignored Elena's glance. He immediately stared ahead, smiling at the guests and relatives or paparazzi ready with their cameras. The man immediately led his wife down the altar, across the white carpet casually, and kept smiling until flowers were pouring down on him and Elena, accompanying them along their path.

Elena just kept quiet with a faint smile, trying to hide her sadness. She felt so tortured by this charade, felt like running to her room and locking herself in there while trying to contact Oskar. Yeah, of course, she still hopes that Oskar can turn this situation around.

Arrived in front of the relatives, Elena and Ray received congratulations and then took pictures.

Johannes came over to the paparazzi, as they weren't allowed to get too close to the bride and groom.

"Mr. Johannes Michelle, what exactly happened? why the groom, not Oskar? Could it be that the wedding has been postponed a bit because the groom has to be changed?" One of the male reporters asked by bringing a camera, the other reporters did the same.

"No problem at all here," Johannes replied casually, "actually a few days ago Elena had decided to marry Ray because she knew that Oskar was not a good man...At that time we wanted to make a new invitation, but time was running out so we didn't make a new invitation, especially since the old one had already been distributed."

"What's the problem with Oskar, and Why did Elena decide to marry Ray so easily after she's been in a relationship with Oskar for a long time?" asked female reporter.

"For that, I can't mention it because this is their issue...the most important thing is that now Elena is married to Ray who is much better than Oskar," Johannes replied then his attention was drawn to a man who came up to him. the man whispered to him, then he looked back at the reporters. "I think the information I have given is sufficient for you. Thank you," he said then approached Elena and Ray followed by the man earlier.

Johannes approached Elena who looked weak. "What is it?"

"I really can't keep up with the party plan this afternoon because I'm so dizzy," said Elena.

"Elena, here you are the bride that means you must always be there for the guests who will cheer you on!" said Johannes irritably.

"But I'm so dizzy, I really can't stand it!"

"Do you want to embarrass me?"

"It would be a shame if I fainted here!" Elena asserted in annoyance she was on the verge of crying.

Seeing Elena and her father getting emotional with each other, then the reporters might be stalking them, Ray thought about solving this problem.

"Mr. Johannes, let Elena rest in the room. Let me handle the guests," he said.

"But, Ray..."

"It's okay," Ray said reassuringly, then immediately wrapped his arm around Elena's waist from the side. He immediately led his wife to a room that would require them to cross the stairs.

Ray continues to protect Elena by embracing her from the side, occasionally smiling at the camera as the paparazzi keep snapping at them.

Oskar had also officially married Sarah, meeting Evans who was drinking with some guests. he ignored his wife who was joking with the other guests as well. Yeah, there was a little party there, everything was prepared so epicly as if it wasn't an impromptu wedding...

"Evans!" Oskar immediately grabbed Evans.

Evans was a little surprised. He immediately took the man away from the crowd while continuing to carry a beautiful glass filled with red wine.

"What is it?" asked Evans.

"Free my sister now!" cried Oskar firmly.

Evans smiled sarcastically then drank his red wine a little.

"You don't have to worry about her. She'll be fine," he said.

"Hey, don't fool me or make me more emotional...I have complied with all your crazy requests, now give my sister to me!" Oskar asserted with a sharp look.

"I will leave her to you when I can make sure that you will never hurt my sister because you were forced to marry her," said Oskar, glancing at Sarah who was now sitting alone in a chair looking at him. "If you dare to hurt her even a little, you will know the consequences it will have on your brother and sister."

Oskar took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly. The man tried to remain patient even though he felt like punching that annoying Evans in the face.

"Now just enjoy this party, you also have to act happy because this marriage is not just a marriage that will end because it started with compulsion. There will be no end between you and my sister….You can never run away from it because I will keep an eye on you. If you dare to leave her, you will know the consequences," Evans said with an ambitious look. "If you want your sister to come back to you as soon as possible, that's fine. .maybe tonight I'll give it to you because now she needs time to rest," he continued then went over to the guests.

Oskar was silent with annoyance, but could not do anything. he was curious about what Evans had done to his sister, and why her sister had to rest when she had been sitting in captivity all this time. he felt uneasy, felt like he wanted to cry, scream and tell all the bad things about Evan to the guests, but he had to endure.
