SIERRA

The room felt so heavy, like the air itself was pressing down on me. Kane and Zane stood right in front of me, their faces filled with fear and worry. I could see it clearly in their eyes, they were desperate for me not to do what I was about to do.

Kane’s voice was quiet but serious when he said, “Sierra, please. This is madness. You don’t have to do this. There has to be another way.”

I looked at him, feeling the warmth and care behind his words, but inside, I was shaking. I wanted to believe him. I really did. But everything felt so broken, like a puzzle with missing pieces I could never find. Then Zane stepped forward and added, his voice strong but worried, “You’re not thinking straight. Giving her your powers won’t stop anything. It’ll only make her stronger. We can fight this…together.”

Hearing them talk about fighting together made my heart ache. I wanted to join them, to believe we could fix this without losing so much. But deep down, I knew it wasn’t that simple. I sh

ZANEMy chest heaved as I tried to breathe through the storm raging inside me. My heart was pounding so loudly I could barely hear my own voice.“Sierra, don’t do this!” I yelled again, stepping closer. “You’re not thinking straight! This isn’t the way to fix anything!”She turned to look at me slowly, and the moment our eyes met, something twisted in my chest. Her face was pale, streaked with tears, her lips trembling. But what broke me the most was her eyes, they were red, swollen… but full of a kind of calm I didn’t want to see. Like she’d already said goodbye to us in her mind.“Zane,” she said softly, her voice cracked but steady, “I have to. I’ve already made up my mind.”“No,” I snapped, shaking my head like a madman. “No. You’re just scared. We all are! That doesn’t mean we give up. That doesn’t mean we hand ourselves over to a psycho and hope she keeps her word. You giving yourself to her won’t fix anything. It’ll just make her stronger, Sierra. Strong enough to destroy every

MAYAI held my daughter tightly, my arms wrapped protectively around her small frame as the distant sounds of battle echoed through the thick stone walls. Each cry, each crash, each howl made my heart skip a beat. I didn’t know who was winning… or who was falling. I didn’t know if Sierra was safe… or if the boys, Kane and Zane, and my husband, Alpha Thane, were still alive out there.I buried my face in my daughter’s hair, breathing in her scent, clinging to her like a lifeline. “Please be okay… please,” I whispered into the silence, my voice trembling with fear.Sierra had told us to hide. She had looked me in the eye, strong and determined, even though I knew she was scared. She had always been brave. Even as a child, she carried the weight of the world on her shoulders. And now, here she was again, walking into danger alone… for all of us.My hands were shaking.I wanted to run after her. I wanted to pull her back, to hold her and never let her go. But I knew my daughter. When Sier

SIERRAI stood frozen for a moment after Mom’s words sank in. “What do you mean…‘what if we disappear and never come back’?” I asked, my voice barely a whisper, my heart pounding hard in my chest. I stared at her, shock and confusion twisting inside me. She was usually so strong, so sure. But now, doubt and fear laced her words.Mom looked away, her eyes distant. “Sierra, ever since we came into the boys’ lives... ever since we got involved with this pack... It’s been nothing but trouble.”My breath caught. “Trouble?” I repeated, disbelief shaking me. “What are you saying? That we’ve brought nothing but problems?”She shook her head slowly. “I’m just saying what I see. The fights, the danger, the enemies we make... it’s all because of this. Because of us.”I wanted to yell, to tell her she was wrong, but the lump in my throat stopped me. Instead, I looked away, blinking back tears I didn’t want to shed. I wanted to believe she was wrong, but a small part of me wondered if she was righ

SIERRAI opened my mouth to protest, to tell them there was no other choice, but before I could even say a word, Zane cut in, his voice firm and unyielding.“No, Sierra. We’re not giving Ariel anything. Not an inch more.” He looked at Ariel with fierce eyes. “You’re crazy if you think we’ll let you have more powers.”Kane stepped up beside him, his voice low but sharp. “She’s not getting your powers, Sierra. We’ve seen what she can do. She’s dangerous enough already.”I wanted to argue, wanted to say I had no other option, but their words made sense. Ariel was already powerful. Giving her more could only make things worse. I swallowed hard, feeling the weight of their words crush my heart.Ariel’s eyes narrowed, and for a moment I thought she might lash out. But instead, she smiled, cold and cruel, like a snake ready to strike.Behind us, I heard the pack rallying, the sounds of heavy footsteps, low growls, and urgent shouts. The werewolves were charging forward, their battle cry shak

SIERRAI stood at the edge of the courtyard, my heart pounding as the silence stretched between us. Ariel still floated above, calm and cruel, her eyes scanning the crowd of werewolves who now stood perfectly still. Not one moved. Not one dared speak. It was like they were frozen in some twisted spell, waiting…no, expecting her next command.Behind me, the boys huddled close, whispering frantically."Sierra, you can't," Zane said first. His voice was tight with fear. "You can't give her your powers. She's already done enough damage. What do you think she'll do when she's even stronger?""Zane's right," Kane added, stepping forward. "She's dangerous. Unpredictable. Giving her more power will only make everything worse.""I know," I whispered, tears burning at the corners of my eyes. "I know that. But what choice do I have? Dane is still not himself. People are suffering. She said she could fix this.""And you believe her?" Zane asked again, his voice rising with frustration. "Sierra, s
