Frustration and Determination

I stormed away from the meeting hall, feeling a mix of sadness and anger. I muttered to myself, frustrated with Linda for not waiting and mad at myself for being too slow to meet her before the ceremony. I blamed myself for asking her to let go when she wanted to fight for our love. Jake, my wolf, shared my frustration. We had loved Linda since childhood, even though she wasn't our destined mate.

“Why couldn't she just hold on a little longer?" I growled through gritted teeth, my voice laced with irritation.

"Daniel, calm down," Jake urged in a soothing tone, its voice resonating in my head. "She made her choice, and we must respect it. Our mate will come when the time is right."

I shook my head, stubborn and unwavering. "No! I don’t want anyone else but Linda, Linda is the only woman I’ll ever be able to love. I won't let her slip away."
