Should I help Him?

A land grabber and a certified despicable man, that's what Axel is; I’m disappointed but not surprised. I'm pretty sure this is the norm here in the human world. They don’t value mating as we do. You don't ask a lady to warm your bed, and it's wrong on so many levels, disgusting even.

My eyes are bulging in disbelief at how low this man takes me for; he thinks I will go crazy if he lays his cards this early; an icy stare appears on my face intensely.

“I'd rather beat you to pulp this instance.” I’m pressing my lips together in anguish.

Axel’s eyebrows tweeze at my words. “I’m doing you a favor in the end. You have no choice but to accept my terms.”

I firmly believe that any creature in the world has the power of choice and free will; how come this man reckons that he is the only one entitled to both?

“Am I to be your bedroom playmate? Is that in your ridiculous terms as well?” My tone is questioning and commanding; it's how your mama talks when you get up late.

He shows a slight frown as he places his arms across his broad well-toned chest, and I find myself distracted following every action he makes. This isn't good; the same orchestrator of my problems captures my attention.

“Tell me, Doctor, how badly do you want my property?”

That's it. He is pushing me to my limit, putting every red button on.

“Correction, the property that you stole from me!” I scream with so much annoyance as my vocal cords will soon snap.

He raises his eyebrows at once, glancing at me with that unreadable facial expression. “You can take my words in whatever way you want to interpret it, but do you want this property or not?”

This whole place is my family’s legacy. Of course, I want it back! I want it more than anything.

“Tell me, Axel have you ever loved someone or something so much that you're willing to bargain with Satan to get it back?” My jaw is clenching hard, for I know that this human will never understand where the hell I am coming from.

His face softens, and worry fills his deep blue eyes. Is what I see true? Or is he faking that emotion too?

“You loved this place so much, huh! Can you tell me why? I might change my mind.”

I wish I could tell a soul, “Sure, I’ll tell you, but I have to kill you.” My words are casual and plain.

He blinks numerous times before speaking, “In the times that our path crosses, you act like a murderer who bounds to kill than a doctor with an oath to save lives.”

That's because I’m born to kill. Idiot! Of course, I don't say that out loud.

“How did you know that I’m a doctor? Did you have a background check on me?”

He shakes his head as a sign of no, “Nope, that assistant of yours called me, informing me that a certain Doctor Wales owns my family property.”

Rahim! Yes, he mentions talking to this man on the phone. That is a total pain in the ass for sure; dealing with a self-righteous human can be a hassle.

No one utters any words anymore; we stare, ready to bite each other's neck.

“Are you done being a jerk? Can we start dissecting your so-called terms?” My words are coming out like raging bullets.

“Sure, sit down. I hope you like some tea. Do you mind me being topless?”

“We’re over with the shirt thing, now tell me, what do you want?” As if he will be obliged to put a shirt on. I try to keep my eye level on his face. His model-type body screams, ‘Touch me!’ I don't want to be a sinner and regret it later. I aim to stay out of complications as much as possible.

Axel sips some tea first, and his mesmerizing eyes focus on me, “My great-great-grandfather technically owned this place--”

“Adolf, Yes, I know, but your grandfather acquired it when he died, right?” It isn’t my intention to cut him off, but I don’t want to bore myself with the information I already know.

His sensual lips pull into a broad grin showing his white as perfect pearl set of teeth. Holy moly, I better leave his side before my body betrays me.

“You did your research, and I could see that now.” Amusement fills his eyes as he taps on the kitchen counter. I immediately move away from my hand, afraid that our skin will brush; physical touch is something I can only share with my mate.

“My family had a selling agreement with your great-great-grandfather, Adolf, for generations that contract is valid; I don't see why you have to change that.” White lies come in handy; I had an agreement with his great-great-grandfather Adolf, but I can't say that Axelwill freak out. He will lose his mind; my secret is safe if I’m mindful of what I say.

“Well, my grandfathers are gone; I’m the sole owner, and you will help me acquire all the properties they leave under my name.”

Wait, wait, wait! Why the hell Am I going to help him? Not in a million years, no! The last time I check, I don't care about human affairs; Axel is the last human being in my mind to help. He is outrageous to think I’m perfect for the job of aiding him.

“Are you hallucinating?” I let out a fatty laugh. He is eyeing me with a flashing glance.

“Certainly not; here is the deal, marry me, and you’ll have this property back.”

My stomach feels so heavy; it's churning as a bomb will explode inside of me. My jaw gape at what I just heard; this man should put his head away from the gutter!

“You and you're delusional little head; I’m leaving.” I stand up, rushing to the door, but he is too quick to grab my right arm.

“Earlier, you asked me if I ever loved someone or something so much that I’m willing to do anything; Robin, I can do everything for my dying mother; please help me save her.”

For the first time in my life in the human world, I feel the tugging and twisting in my heart. How can you say no to a son who wants to save his beloved mother? Am I wrong to call him Satan?
