A land grabber and a certified despicable man, that's what Axel is; I’m disappointed but not surprised. I'm pretty sure this is the norm here in the human world. They don’t value mating as we do. You don't ask a lady to warm your bed, and it's wrong on so many levels, disgusting even.
My eyes are bulging in disbelief at how low this man takes me for; he thinks I will go crazy if he lays his cards this early; an icy stare appears on my face intensely.
“I'd rather beat you to pulp this instance.” I’m pressing my lips together in anguish.
Axel’s eyebrows tweeze at my words. “I’m doing you a favor in the end. You have no choice but to accept my terms.”
I firmly believe that any creature in the world has the power of choice and free will; how come this man reckons that he is the only one entitled to both?
“Am I to be your bedroom playmate? Is that in your ridiculous terms as well?” My tone is questioning and commanding; it's how your mama talks when you get up late.
He shows a slight frown as he places his arms across his broad well-toned chest, and I find myself distracted following every action he makes. This isn't good; the same orchestrator of my problems captures my attention.
“Tell me, Doctor, how badly do you want my property?”
That's it. He is pushing me to my limit, putting every red button on.
“Correction, the property that you stole from me!” I scream with so much annoyance as my vocal cords will soon snap.
He raises his eyebrows at once, glancing at me with that unreadable facial expression. “You can take my words in whatever way you want to interpret it, but do you want this property or not?”
This whole place is my family’s legacy. Of course, I want it back! I want it more than anything.
“Tell me, Axel have you ever loved someone or something so much that you're willing to bargain with Satan to get it back?” My jaw is clenching hard, for I know that this human will never understand where the hell I am coming from.
His face softens, and worry fills his deep blue eyes. Is what I see true? Or is he faking that emotion too?
“You loved this place so much, huh! Can you tell me why? I might change my mind.”
I wish I could tell a soul, “Sure, I’ll tell you, but I have to kill you.” My words are casual and plain.
He blinks numerous times before speaking, “In the times that our path crosses, you act like a murderer who bounds to kill than a doctor with an oath to save lives.”
That's because I’m born to kill. Idiot! Of course, I don't say that out loud.
“How did you know that I’m a doctor? Did you have a background check on me?”
He shakes his head as a sign of no, “Nope, that assistant of yours called me, informing me that a certain Doctor Wales owns my family property.”
Rahim! Yes, he mentions talking to this man on the phone. That is a total pain in the ass for sure; dealing with a self-righteous human can be a hassle.
No one utters any words anymore; we stare, ready to bite each other's neck.
“Are you done being a jerk? Can we start dissecting your so-called terms?” My words are coming out like raging bullets.
“Sure, sit down. I hope you like some tea. Do you mind me being topless?”
“We’re over with the shirt thing, now tell me, what do you want?” As if he will be obliged to put a shirt on. I try to keep my eye level on his face. His model-type body screams, ‘Touch me!’ I don't want to be a sinner and regret it later. I aim to stay out of complications as much as possible.
Axel sips some tea first, and his mesmerizing eyes focus on me, “My great-great-grandfather technically owned this place--”
“Adolf, Yes, I know, but your grandfather acquired it when he died, right?” It isn’t my intention to cut him off, but I don’t want to bore myself with the information I already know.
His sensual lips pull into a broad grin showing his white as perfect pearl set of teeth. Holy moly, I better leave his side before my body betrays me.
“You did your research, and I could see that now.” Amusement fills his eyes as he taps on the kitchen counter. I immediately move away from my hand, afraid that our skin will brush; physical touch is something I can only share with my mate.
“My family had a selling agreement with your great-great-grandfather, Adolf, for generations that contract is valid; I don't see why you have to change that.” White lies come in handy; I had an agreement with his great-great-grandfather Adolf, but I can't say that Axelwill freak out. He will lose his mind; my secret is safe if I’m mindful of what I say.
“Well, my grandfathers are gone; I’m the sole owner, and you will help me acquire all the properties they leave under my name.”
Wait, wait, wait! Why the hell Am I going to help him? Not in a million years, no! The last time I check, I don't care about human affairs; Axel is the last human being in my mind to help. He is outrageous to think I’m perfect for the job of aiding him.
“Are you hallucinating?” I let out a fatty laugh. He is eyeing me with a flashing glance.
“Certainly not; here is the deal, marry me, and you’ll have this property back.”
My stomach feels so heavy; it's churning as a bomb will explode inside of me. My jaw gape at what I just heard; this man should put his head away from the gutter!
“You and you're delusional little head; I’m leaving.” I stand up, rushing to the door, but he is too quick to grab my right arm.
“Earlier, you asked me if I ever loved someone or something so much that I’m willing to do anything; Robin, I can do everything for my dying mother; please help me save her.”
For the first time in my life in the human world, I feel the tugging and twisting in my heart. How can you say no to a son who wants to save his beloved mother? Am I wrong to call him Satan?
I have no slightest idea how long I stare at his face. His face is full of hurt emotions and vulnerability. He is out of my business, but why do I want it to be mine? Why do I want to help him terribly?“You can let go of my arm now.” Axel moves fast, loosening the grip on my arm.“Sorry about that; I didn't mean to touch you.” He makes sure to settle his eyes elsewhere. He unexpectedly sounds embarrassed, like my skin was burning and he couldn't handle the heat.I take a long breath as I walk back to my seat. I’m not sure what arises, but I want to help him; I’m my mother’s daughter, after all. If I were in Axel's shoes, I’d be desperate; another minute, he is back in his chair. The tension is gone and Axel is looking at the ground.“I wouldn't say I like what you said earlier; marriage is sacred, but I will let it go because I discern that you have your reasons; now is the right time to tell me those.”It is his cue to transfix his amazing deep-set blue eyes on me once again, and I
The sound of the slumming door gets me from my thoughts as to whether what I did was right. Am I considering being Axel's wife? It sounds more like the jokes are on me.I place my helmet on the wooden table as I enter my house; Rolf's scent lingers in the area. This has been his bad habit, to enter my personal space.“You seemed more confused than upset, Ria” His lower voice register sent me a commanding aura. Rolf is powerful, one of those Celestials being half God and half werewolf. His sharp gray eyes can see through my very soul. I’m like a thin white paper; he can see it all.“You can say that, but honestly, it was a good talk.”Forgive me; I’m not sold entirely to Axel, but let's give him credit for coming in with a clean slate.“You were so mad at the man some few days ago; now you sound like you know him.” Rolf always questioned my decisions. He is challenging them without blinking, with no fear. Our setup is quite extraordinary if I can say that. He is my greatest ally and ne
AxelRobin is a strong independent, feisty woman that left my house a while ago. From the first time I saw her until today, I’m very much convinced that she is a nasty and smart ass. Far from all the types of women I dated. She threw me to the ground the moment I had the chance to touch her.Her golden amber eyes and her ivory skin are heaven-sent to me. She’s an angel without wings. It's more evident than the day that she’s perfect to be my contract wife. I’m never attracted to her type, strong and independent. She doesn't need a man. I prefer that she doesn't need me; I have no time for love. I’m driven to give my mother the life she truly deserves. But those eyes are simply magical. My phone rings, it's Leandro, one of my pals.“Man! Don’t tell you aren't coming again this time? Come on, just a few bottles of beer of whichever your life, and maybe if we're lucky, some babe to take home tonight.” His tone sends me a signal that he has a few shots already.“I think I need a drink ton
“Too early to say, future husband, I got two things for you, don’t even fall in love with me, but I’m sure you will eventually. I'm simply irresistible and charming, but when you do keep it to yourself, don’t give me the chance to break you.”Her words are full of mystery and fiction; I’m striving to read the genuine meaning of her statements. I see no logic in her claims; it's pure fantasy that will soon make her suffer for failing to succumb to reality.“Duly noted.” I don't expect to drag this conversation any further. Talking to her is like talking to someone in opposition. We can never agree on something; I’m aware of how different we are from each other. Acknowledgment is distant from acceptance.“Good.”How can she be this confident? She's so sure about being the smartest in the room, which I find a little overwhelming to absorb.I stop, reaching the house; as I hear the opening clicking sound of the passenger seat. Robin is paving her way inside.“I’m taking a shower; that sme
I'm lost to the taste of him, and he reaches down and removes my shirt. His fingers are desperate, moving fast and ripping off my bra without his mouth breaking free from my lips. I'm so turned on right now, so wet it's embarrassing.A seductive chuckle fills my ears. "I can smell your arousal, Robin..."Axel smiles against my lips before he assaults my mouth with his tongue again, using his calloused hands to tug down my skirt. A row of shudders pummels through me. Standing naked in front of such a large, well-trained man makes me feel so small in comparison.I'm always worried if any man will laugh at the size of my or Ria's breasts or something else silly. I lack self-esteem around him, but it soon becomes impossible to ignore his twitching manhood. He is enormous. He leans back, staring into my eyes. "You're mine..." he kisses me hard and pulls me into his muscular body. A whimper escapes my lips, and I have to crane my neck to keep kissing him until he leans back. "And if any man
Expectant that she will soon open the stupid bathroom door and talk the matter out with me. I’m a transparent person, and one way to deal with problems is to face them head-on. I hope Robin won't shove it to the back door. I stand up when I feel that she’s turning the door open. Her legs were unsteady, and I did not hesitate to catch her. “You could have called me for help.” I unintentionally sound like scolding her. She bites her lips nervously. I put her down on the mattress, walked back into the closet, and grabbed a sweatshirt and sweatpants. “Change into these.” When will she speak to me? Do I have to deal with her cold treatment moving forward? I face the wall giving her the privacy to dress up; though I have seen every part of her body, this is not the best time to be cocky. “Does this usually hurt this much?” Her voice is soothing as the moonlight glee. “I don't know, I’m a man, I have two stepsisters, but we are not that close; I don't know how a woman's body works.” Roe
The next thing I know, he is back on my side, and I’m striking him on the chest, he lowers down his face, and it is too late. My punch lands on his handsome face hitting his nose. Blood escaping from his skin. That's my cue to stop as I see the blood flowing from his nose down to the rest of his face. Guilt begins to hunt me inside, and I burst into tears. The roller coaster of emotion is demanding, and I’m in for the ride.“You could easily dodge it! Are you crazy?”Axel touches my face wiping the tears from my cheeks, “You're a beauty even if you're mad or crying. For that, I forgive you, and let's say I deserve that punch.”He steps aside, giving me room to breathe while he goes directly to the bathroom to wash out the blood in his nose. He doesn't even close the bathroom door.“Put some pressure in your nose for at least two minutes by pressing; it will help stop the bleeding.”He sticks his head on the bathroom door and grins; I lose the battle every single time he decides to mel
“They can't scold you anymore once you are held as Queen and endure it a little bit longer.” The Blood Moon Goddess looks divine, and I’m in awe.But what am I here for? And I can't wake up? Ria, you can't wake up. You had painkillers and insomnia meds all at once—a stupid girl.“This is not right. You should be the Queen, not me, you know; all I want is to play around. I hate responsibilities, sister; I hate to command and rule.”The Blood Moon Goddess lifts Armie’s chin and gazes at her straight to the eyes.“You are part of this family because you are born to rule; it's high time you forget about being so silly and playful with your powers; we need a new queen as we prepare for war against evil. Remember what father and mother told us? We are destined for greatness.”Armie scowls, “Greatness is boring, look at you, you don't even play with me anymore; I have an idea why don't we sneak out for the werewolf realm and have some chit-chat with Rhian she mentioned being in love with thi
