It wasn’t a really smart move to go all out to the plains by myself, especially since it was my first time participating in the hunt, but from my instincts, this was the best option I could go with. It was natural to want to follow the rest of the prey into the forest where there would be more protection and a harder chance of getting found and even running away from the hunters if they eventually found them.

“What are you doing Laila, you still have the chance to go back and do as Kevin says.” I muttered to myself but my legs kept on forward.

It would be bad for me if I got caught a few minutes into the hunt, embarrassing if I was the first. It would just prove to Ayesha and even the rest of the pack that it wasn't any much of a big deal compared to what they expected. To say that the reaction from Atlas or even Ares would be one of disappointment, Atlas mostly, Ares, I’m not so sure.
