‘Our mate has no wolf!’ Brad informed him.

‘That’s impossible I could feel she is a werewolf. How could you not feel her wolf?’ Brian was beyond taken aback by the news.

‘Maybe because she is been given wolfsbane. That’s the only logical explanation. Her parents must have given her to hide her wolf from the world. But we can only calculate damage after we know the real dosage of wolfsbane in her system’ Brad replied honestly.

Just like Brian, his wolf was also irritatingly honest.

‘Okay, I will look into it’ Brian took a deep breath.

Three days later,

Emily was getting the hang of her job and started arranging Brian’s things on time. Brian even complimented her about learning things so quickly. She was not still perfect, but he didn’t complain. For the meantime, manager Ben was arranging the important meetings for Brian and also, training Emily for the job.

Emily was really impressed by Brian’s work ethics and his sincerity towards his company. He does a lot of work in a small amount of time. He was complete opposite from what she was thinking about hot CEOs. He was the perfect definition of workaholic CEO. Emily couldn’t help but admire how he was being so lenient with her even when she was doing a lot of mistakes.

She was feeling the spark between them but she was scared if it goes on, then she will fall in love with him and she is no match for someone like him. He was wealthy and super handsome. He was completely out of her league and she knew it too well, she didn’t want people around her to remind her that.

A message notification dragged her out of her train of thoughts.

*Brian: Please bring file number P1093 in my office*

*Emily: Okay sir*

As Brian taught her well, she was able to search for files within a minute. She knocked on his door and entered when he gave her permission.

“Here is your file, sir” She kept the file on his table.

There was no more tripping or falling as she was not wearing heels.

“Thank you, sweetheart” Brian replied taking a sip of his coffee while signing a document.

“Do you need anything else, sir?” Emily asked politely.

Brian was about to say ‘no’ but then he remembered something.

“Emily, I want you to come to place and help me arrange my library after work” Brian replied casually.

‘His place? Never! Him and I? Alone? At his place? I do not like how it sounds. I can barely control myself around him. What happened three days ago can happen again. Being alone with him can result in so many unexpected scenarios! I need to deny it!’ After going through the internal battle, she cleared her throat to reply.

“Um. Sir, won’t it be too late? My work time is from 9 am to 6 pm” Emily said in tone as professional as possible.

Brian moved back from the table to remove a file from the side desk and kept it in front of her.

“Well, dear Emily. Have you read the document properly before signing? It clearly says in the rule number 16 that you need to help me with everything I say, irrespective of the place or time and taking care of my library is specifically added in rule number 18” Brian’s voice was filled with authority.

She could feel that he is not going to take no for an answer but she still tried.

“But coming your house is not too personal, sir?” She replied hesitantly while looking down, it sounded more like a question.

“You are my personal secretory, dear” The corner of his mouth twitched into a smirk.

“Okay, sir. I will come to your house after work” Emily nodded obediently.

Brian couldn’t let go of the chance, hence he added, “Meet me at the parking lot after work. We will go together”

‘No! No! No! Coming to your house is not an issue! Staying with you is the main problem! The car will be such a small place. I will breathe the same air as him. I should definitely say No!’ Emily instructed herself and coughed to grab his attention.

“Ahem. No sir, I will come by my own. Please send me the address. Thanks for the kind offer” Emily plastered a small smile on her celestial face.

“Emily, are you forgetting who is the boss here? Only I can give orders. You are meeting me at the parking lot after work at sharp 6.05 pm. Am I clear?” Brian ordered like a powerful Alpha he is. The powerful aura around him made Emily submit to him.

“Yes sir” Emily nodded helplessly.

She opened the door to leave just to meet the most amazing jade green eyes.

“Morning, sweetheart. Missed me?” Ralph asked with his constant flirty smile.

“Good morning, sir” Emily replied politely and left the room as she didn’t want to face Brian again.

“You are so cruel, dude!” Ralph narrowed his eyes at Brian and sat comfortably on the chair opposite to him,

“Look at you being the bossy CEO around your ‘personal’ secretory”

“Did you hear everything?” Brian glared at him sharply.

“I am an Alpha, dude! I can’t help it!” Ralph shrugged, unaffected by his dark gazes.

“I called her at my place to arrange my library” Brian couldn’t help but tell him the truth.

“And have some quality time with her. I believe the matter can get really steamy and sweaty” Ralph grinned like a pervert.

Brian shook his head in a complete denial and added, “Nope! Nothing like that is going to happen! I am taking it slow”

“Hmm, I believe you. You’re taking it slow means inviting a girl to your house on her first week of working. I wonder how will ‘you’re taking it fast’ would be?” Ralph scratched his chin and pretend to be thinking before he raised his index finger indicating he got the idea,

“Hah! Maybe it will be bending her over this desk and taking her hard and fast? You can even ‘Mark’ her” Ralph grinned like a Cheshire cat.

Brian threw his cell phone at him and shouted,

“Shut up, b*strad!”

His cheeks turned pink because of Ralph’s non stop teasing.

“Why are you blushing like a teenage b*tch hearing about s*x for the first time?” Ralph pointed towards his cheeks and bursts into laughter.

“I am not blushing” Brian kept his hand on his cheeks to check.

“Oh yes, you are!” Ralph removed his cell phone and took a picture.

“What the heck are you doing?” Brian asked agitated.

“Collecting evidences. Wow! This will be the photo on your next year birthday cake!” Ralph laughed hysterically and showed him the photo, where Brian could see the visible blush on his cheeks without any filter applied.

“I hate you!” Brian groaned.

“Now you are even talking like a teenage b*tch! When was the last time you had s*x, by the way?” Ralph punched the table while laughing.

“Did you come here to get on my nerves?” Brian gritted his teeth.

Ralph shook his head playfully and replied,

“You are the one who called me here saying you wanted to discuss certain important matter”

The moment Brian heard Ralph’s reply, his facial expressions greatly changed and he nodded, “Oh yes, Ralph, listen. There is something disturbing me!”

Looking at Brian’s serious face, Ralph also stopped laughing and concern took over his handsome face.

“What is it? Is it about Emily?” Ralph enquired and Brian nodded in response before replying,

“My wolf can’t seem to find her wolf! We can’t feel it’s presence”
