Chapter 44

Dez was fixing up a place to lay down on the loveseat in the living room, knowing that I wouldn’t want to sleep alone and that I wasn’t going to bed anytime soon. I turned on whatever would distract me for the time being on the T.V. and zoned out. Dez looked so peaceful when he fell asleep, he really was my ride or die, my person for life, he would have made an amazing Beta, and I was grateful that through everything that happened to him because of me, that he loved me still.

It was the very early hours of the morning, I left the living room blinds open most of the night, staring up at the sky and wondering if my life would be worth all of this effort in the end. I didn’t want my life to be a disappointment, unworthy of everyone that’s sacrificed and died for me already.
