I was dragging my ass the following morning, getting up and out the door before the birds had begun chirping for the day was a feat in and of itself for me. I had stayed up too late indulging in the delights my mate had to offer, not that I regretted a single second of my time spent in heaven between her shapely thighs.

Never mind the tiny detail it was too damn early to be up anyway. I was not a morning person, and these crack of dawn patrols were speedily becoming the bane of my existence. 

I exited the house under the cover of darkness, making my way to the tree line nearby since I had opted to leave through the back door.
