I was rushing outside in a flash to confirm Reese’s unbelievable report, but there was no denying my meek, blonde-haired friend was sitting astride a massive, gleaming dragon with her mate, Asher.

I was assuming the dragon was Zacharias, but I wouldn’t know for sure until after introductions were made, which would prove impossible if he wasn’t able to land safely.

The canopy of trees nearby swayed with the wind created by his flapping wings as he suspended himself in the air, no doubt looking for the ideal location to touch down.

Really the only option was the fairly decent sized open stretch of grass near the pack house, which I noticed the dragon was currently hovering over, but he was ginormous and still took down a few pin oaks with his succeeding descent.

I was just grateful he’d missed the house, but I didn’t think my mate would be as lax about the downed trees.
