We’ve been camping out on the borders of Dre’s pack for a few days. Getting a better idea of the layout of the pack lands. I had scouts viewing what we could and making maps out of the intel. I make my way down the tree, lowering myself carefully to the ground, trying not to yelp in pain as the cold shocks my feet. Only one of the enforcers was still awake, the others passed out surrounding the small fire. As long as my scent remained hidden. Carefully I climb across the branches, moving slowly from tree to tree so as to not make any noise. Iris was still gone, leading the wolves on a wild goose hunt in the opposite direction, doing her best to buy me more time. Time was against me and I could use as much of it as possible. Walking into the dining room I take my place next to Dre at the table, doing my best to ignore the usual glares I get from those around the room. The women usually look at me with disgust while many of the men don’t do a very good job of pretending to not look at me like I’m something to be devoured. Only averting their glances when they notice Dre looking their way. Every night it seems they eat lavish meals, the most expensive cuts of steaks and specialty wines, leaving the omegas in the pack house to eat the scraps left over.
