I followed Elena to the place where trees were surrounding the whole area, no one was there except the four of us. Yeah four, Elena, Eva, me, and whoever was following us.
"You know someone is behind us, right?" She asked me and I nodded while keeping my finger on my lips, telling her to be quiet. I gave her the small kid who was asleep now.
"You go, I will see whoever it is," I said to her and she walked inside the small house which was standing alone in this empty place. There was no sign of any other residence.
"You know you're not good at following someone without being noticed." I turned around just to encounter a strange face.
In front of me was a guy, his small curly black hairs were a mess while he had a 5 o'clock shadow which was looking very ridiculous on him but what caught my attention were his eyes, dark red eyes. Was this some type of movie or something? Where a person would make himself look like a devil or ghost because he was appearing to be a cheap version of that.
"Who said I didn't want you to notice me?" He smiled which showed his dirty teeth and his dry lips were looking in very bad condition.
'Poor lips.'
"Who are you?" I asked with all seriousness.
'A person you should laugh at.' My wolf replied but I just ignored her.
"You should leave this pack before something not so good happens." I looked at him with a raised brow.
"Like what?" I asked, but he just smiled.
"You should leave-" I cut him off and said, "Why!" He just kept repeating the same thing. Seemed like he wouldn't say anything else other than what the witch who was making him do this had told him to say.
"You won't be necessary now. Thanks for your warning." I said sarcastically and with one punch his face flew in the air and landed somewhere far away while his body was still standing in front of me.
I have never seen anything like this but then again every new thing would happen the first time in life. He wasn't even bleeding, just a body without a head was left. I pushed it, maybe something will happen and it did, his body turned into nothing. Like, he just vanished but a paper appeared in front of me.
A letter, a warning.

"So you mean to say that you followed Chloe and found her leaving the pack with a file even when she knew that Xavier, her son, was in the hospital?" I asked her and she nodded.
'Unbelievable! how can that bitch-.... witch do this?' My wolf was furious.
'I think women like her just care about themselves. Selfish cunt.' I wanted to strangle her.
"But why were you snooping around?" I asked her as it was clear that it wasn't just a coincidence.
"Umm...you see I don't want to lie to you and I don't know why. I don't like the old luna, she just gives me bad vibes. After I met you I heard her saying that you are a problem but she knows how to deal with it.
I felt something strange and so I kept an eye on her and found how she left the pack before the attack, she came for file...." She looked at me pleading not to tell this to any other soul.
"Don't worry Elena I won't tell this anyone. Take care of Eva and tell her I would like to play with her tomorrow." I strolled out of the house which I came to know was where they both lived. Their parents died three years ago when there was an attack on the pack.
I walked toward the hospital room where Xavier was and saw Oliver with Sebastian who was hugging Mia, were standing outside the room. What exactly was going on?
I ambled near them to see how worried they were.
"What happened?" I asked them and all three of them turned to me.
"Xavier, he woke up but..." Gemma trailed off.
"What?" I looked at all three of them wanting an answer from any one of them.
"He got a panic attack just after that and out of nowhere his mother came. She ordered us to get out." I didn't hear Mia anymore as I walked inside the room.
'Can't leave our mate with his mother can we?' My wolf said with a smile.
'Of course not.' I entered on time to see his mother was trying to do something. One hand was on her son's chest and another one was on his forehead; she had her eyes closed which opened when I removed her hand from the male's chest.
"What are you doing?" She asked and snatched her hand away. I looked at my mate who was having a hard time breathing.
"I would like you to leave," I told his mother nicely not wanting to argue with her, I wanted to help the guy first.
"You-" She started angrily but I stopped her.
"OUT NOW!" My wolf was done with her and as she was a coward, she glared at me and walked outside.

I sat near Xavier as his friends, Beta and Oliver, were talking to him. Many people had already met him, telling him to get well soon and wishing him well.
After his mother left I helped him in calming down and asked a different doctor to look after him. Oliver told me that the doc has been working for a long time and was a reliable doctor.
"You missed a lot dude," Oliver said as I rolled my eyes because he was smiling at me. Gonna say something ridiculous, I knew him.
"She..." he pointed towards me, on which everyone looked at me and I fastly changed my face into a serious one as I was smiling previously, " actually become a good person to spend time with." He completed.
"Already knew would say something lame," I muttered but he heard it because of his wolf hearing.
"Hey! You are hurting me with you're words babe." This man, I knew he was doing this to annoy me as I didn't like this type of nickname, not from him at least.
"Really, baby?" I asked him because, well, I didn't know; I think I was just now used to this annoying man. It surprised everyone in the room because I never acted like this.
"Wow, what got into you, huh?" Gemma asked while walking toward me.
"Just getting used to your annoying ass," I replied which caused him to laugh.
"What the hell is going here? Are you seriously flirting with my mate in front of me?" Xavier asked both of us.
Oliver slung his hand on my shoulder as we both were of nearly the same height so it wasn't awkward.
"Chill dude, we are friends." He said and I removed his hand from my shoulder.
"Annoying friend," I said.
"But friend." His smile became bigger which made him look cute.
I felt a hand on my waist and Xavier pulled me toward him as I was at an arm's length distance from him.
"Okay enough." The night went like this, all of us talking and laughing because of Oliver or Mia's joke. But I didn't talk much with Beta and also kept my distance from Xavier, sure I cared about him but it would take time for me to be comfortable with him touching me. I think he understood it because he was okay with it.
Thanks for reading my book. Hope you have a nice day or night ahead.
Alex pov *Every event in this chapter occurred before Stella arrived in the pack. The event happened a long time before the scene that happened at the start of the story occurred. 'Would you stop, please?' I said irritatedly while throwing the pen in my hand on the table as I couldn't focus on work, not with the wolf of mine rambling incoherently and pacing without any rest. 'But why? Why I'm feeling this way? Perhaps something is-' I blocked him out and massaged my forehead. Ruffling my long hairs that were falling messily on my forehead, I stood up and cleaned the table. Hearing a knock on the door I looked up to find Xavier, the Alpha, also my friend standing there waiting for me to say something. "Come in, you know you don't need permission to come in." He smiled, taking a seat on the couch while staring around he finally after some time spoke up. "What's the matter, Alex? You seemed worried and different from yesterday. Is everyth
"Mom isn't he cute?" The excited girl, who would particularly jump on the kid and would play with him if got the chance, stared at me with a big smile. "Hmm." I hummed not paying attention to my daughter while trying to control the odd feeling as if I would vomit anytime. 'Not again! Why does it always happen to me?' I had one hand holding my child while the other one was on my chest. "Is everything alright?" Sophia asked as I nodded lightly not wanting her to worry about this small thing because I was used to having this vomiting session at the wrong time and place. "I was getting bored at home alone, it's good that you came, Stella." I smiled, it was the same with me, but the main reason for which I came here was my daughter who would keep asking me to take her to the baby. "Alexandria just wanted to meet the baby and look how happy she is looking right now." A smile touched my lips as I started at the girl whose green eyes, just l
This must be my end, I would die just like that. I should have thought about some plan if things might go downhill but no, ugh! idiot me. I had my legs pressed against my stomach as the pain was increasing every second while my hands involuntarily flew to my face. 1 2 3..... I kept on counting but nothing happened, nothing came my way. I was still breathing and was in my body. A growl made me open my eyes as I saw my mate, fully dressed, had his mother's back against the tree with him holding her hands. "How dare you, mom? You first betrayed me, helped that guy knowing I would be in trouble, my life at risk but you didn't care, and now....you trying to kill my mate." He was looking at the lady. I whimpered because of the pain and tried to sit in which my two friends beside me helped me. "That needs to be done, son. And I won't let him take your life-" "You are taking my life by your hands! What
People think they are ready for the sun to dawn but when that happens they wish they would have gotten some more time. The same goes for any other thing cause every creature is greedy for one or another thing. They want more of it. Here it was happening the same to me, I thought for a long time that I was ready to face Blade and his followers but now my heart was pounding and the fear of what would happen overtook me. I wanted to think that everything would be okay just like my plan I would die with Blade and everyone else would be fine. But that wasn't the scene, one innocent life would be going other than the two of us and I couldn't find a way to save it. I remembered how worried Alex looked when he told me just what had happened at the border. "It's here, the war had broken out. Vampires and Witches, double or triple than our people had attacked us. Xavier had called for other packs who had allied with us and I gotta go there too." I gazed a
Some things just have to be done and so doing it before was better than later. Truthfully, I didn't know if I should keep any work for later cause who know I was alive right now but might be dead just a second after now. Walking near the room where Oliver was I asked my brother to open the door as it was locked. No one liked this, locking Gemma in a room, but everyone was afraid that Blade might come for him or take over him and so the Alpha had to do this. Even when after knowing that this lock or wolves guarding the door or anything else couldn't stop Blade from doing what he wanted, people of this pack still wanted to do this. Just for their mind peace maybe. Thinking back to yesterday, what happened with me in the hospital when Sophia turned out to be Blade, was way too horrible. I would still shiver thinking how odd and creepy that scene was. Shaking my thoughts I walked into the normal-sized room to find the male's figure curled up in the bed. His
"W-who are you?" Even when I was not at all afraid of him, I knew it was Blade hiding behind Sophia's face, I stuttered because of the bad feeling spreading within me cause of how his red irises were creepily glued on me without blinking. "Uh, don't act 'daughter'..." He had a smirk knowing just how much I hated it. "I know you are intelligent enough to know who I'm." It seemed odd to see a girl talking in a deep voice but then again everything in my life was different from ordinary. Hell, all life of mine has never been simple and normal. "What do you want? Why are you even here?" I asked angrily as he laughed.....at me? Or did I say a joke to him? Didn't know but suddenly he had a serious face. "Of course, I'm here for you dear. It's time that I finally get the best food of mine also have to find the knife you have been hiding." He kept his hand on my hand which was trying to open the door before yanking it away from the knob. "I
