chapter two

Darius's POV

Leaving me in charge of the pack for two months had drained me of my energy. My parents decided to go on a trip, and leave me in charge of the pack.

Luckily for me, today is the day they are due to come back. I can finally get my well deserved sleep.

"You need to get to the border now" My best friend and beta Jose, burst into the office.

I closed the laptop and hurried after him.

Just when I thought I could finally rest, something else comes up.

I arrive at the border to see how pack doctors wheeling some people into the ambulance.

"What the fuck happened here?" I asked Josh.

" Some teenagers from the blood moon pack decided it was fun to attack the teenagers in our pack, and this is how it turned out"

The rivalry between our pack and the blood moon pack had never been this serious. Just some teasing, goading and trash talking, but never this serious.

"Where are they?"

"According to the guards, they ran immediately they saw how injured the omegas were".

After making sure everyone was taken to the hospital, I went back to the office to place a call to the blood moon Alpha.

He answered on the first ring. "Alpha Greg, what a pleasure"

"Darius"

"Oh" He probably wasn't expecting me. "Is there something I can help with?"

I took a deep breath before talking. "Yes, some members of your pack decided to play a prank on my pack, and now they are in the hospital"

He was silent for a while before answering." Are you sure they are from my pack?"

"Yes, we even have surveillance"

I sent him the videos so he would be able to point them out.

"I hope you know that if anyone in my pack dies or the injury is too grave, we have the right to retaliate with war"

" Yes, I understand"

The door to the office opened and my dad stepped in. The look on his face showed that he had heard about what happened. He signaled for me to pass him the phone, and he spoke to the Alpha.

"Tell my head enforcer to prepare, we are going for a meeting in the blood moon pack" My dad told me and I called Tim to inform him.

"How was your trip?" I asked him as we stepped outside.

" Relaxing, we should go to the beach again"

" And leave me alone again"

" You will be Alpha soon, get used to it"

My mom had gone to the hospital to oversee things there. My dad went to his room to prepare, while I went to the hospital to see my mom.

My mom hugged me immediately she saw me.

"You look tired" she scanned my face to see if I was alright.

"I am good. I am sorry you came back to this"

" None of this is your fault"

I followed my mom into the ward to check up on the injured omegas. The omega with the broken bone was healing well, and luckily for us the one who had her guts almost ripped out was fine too.

"We should lock those children up and let them starve to death" Josh suddenly appeared beside me.

" Or talk to the Alpha of their pack first" My mom said.

Josh and I left the hospital after a while. And we decided to take a stroll around.

Josh and I have been friends since we were kids, and our parents are best friends too. Josh's dad is my dad's beta, and Josh had also passed the test to be my beta.

Josh had a girlfriend and they plan on taking the mating ceremony together. On the other hand, I didn't have a girlfriend and had no desire to get one.

"Are you attending the meeting tonight?" Josh asked me.

" And risk running into the Alpha's brat, nope"

I groaned thinking about Zara, the blood moon pack Alpha's daughter. She derives joy from stressing me out, and I want nothing more than to put her over my knees, and spank her.

Her brother and I were cool with each other, and I was sure he would make a good Alpha.

"Zara loves to torment you and she hated how much you keep calm" Josh laughed at my expense.

I was about to reply him when I spotted Ana and Emily coming towards us. I tried to steer Josh away from their path, but it was too late.

"Josh" Ana greeted her boyfriend with a kiss.

Josh was in love with Ana and I was happy for him, but I didn't trust Ana.

"Darius" Emily greeted me with a voice she thought was seductive, but honestly just annoying.

Since Ana started dating Josh, and Emily started to come around. Emily had always tried her best to seduce me, sometimes she would pop up in my room naked.

No matter how much I tried to reject her, she just keeps coming back.

"Emily" I looked at my wrist watch to check the time. "Look at the time, it is almost time for the meeting. See you all later" I practically ran away from there before Emily could start her antics.

Back home, my dad was getting ready to go to the meeting with his beta, and enforcers.

"Stay safe"

I watched the car go before going back inside the house. I decided to call my sister who got mated two months ago, and was on her honey moon.

"You should get a mate and stop calling your sister, who is on her honey moon" My sister said immediately she picked the call and I laughed.

"Can't I call to check up on my favorite elder sister?"

" I am your only sister"

" How is Mark?"

" He is in the shower"

"Tell him I still hate him for taking my sister away"

My sister and I spoke for a while, and I refused to tell her about the incident. My sister would cut her honey moon short and run back home.

The door to the house opened and it was my mom. I checked the time and saw that it was late already, and dad wasn't back.

"Is something wrong?" I asked my mom.

"Everything is fine, I just spoke to your dad a while ago, and they are trying to reach an agreement"

" I hope they decide on something good".
