Chapter Thirty-Three

Mazelina

We find Daisy hunched over on the hospital bed. Aries is sitting on his haunches at the end of the bed on the floor, growling at anyone who is brave enough to take a step closer.

“Brother.” I mind-link him, his large wolf's head swivels in my direction, “May I approach Daisy?”

He lets out a low growl, “Remember Lox, I brought you two back together, I can help Daisy.”

Aries whines, “Please help her”

I rush to Daisy’s side, “Daisy? Can you tell me what’s wrong?”

She looks up at me, her eyes bloodshot and unmoving, her eyelids flutter close and her brows furrowed in pain. I close my eyes and cup her face. I take a deep breath in taking her pain. She slumps forward, I barely catch her in time, “Daisy, can you tell me what’s wrong?”

“Pain here.” She points to her stomach, “And blood. Lots of blood.” She points between her legs.

I turn around, “Everyone out of this room now.” Aries lets out a feral growl, followed by Rush growling and standing over me protectively, “Everyone
