Chapter 10: Living with the MacDonalds

Mirabel started living with the MacDonalds. She was in charge of the housekeeping. She did the laundry, the scrubbing and general cleaning.

She made sure to do her job without complaints because she did not want to be found wanting.

That MacDonald s were happy with her, especially the wife. She loved the fact that she was hardworking and was not prone to stealing like other people they had employed did.

Mrs Emily Macdonald had set alot of traps for her but in each of those cases, Mirabel had come to her with the supposedly missing items which were either jewelries or money.

'Ma'am, I suppose this jewelry belongs to you?'

The first time Emily had been shocked be ause coming from the poorest and filthiest part of Soho, Miranda was supposed to have taken the jewelry and found a way to pawn it for money or something but she was here returning the jewelry to her.

'Eh, yes. Yes it is mine. Where did you find it?' Emily asked.

'As I was s rubbing the house just now, I found it under the bed.
