MARSHA'S POV:-
"So, will you tell us the story of the most difficult case you have solved? We would like to know. Also, it would polish our skills." Sara asked captain Falcon and I barely controlled my laugh. She was fooling him and I knew he would buy it. He was one of those people who seek audience and fame. Such a foolish man to work with us. I knew him very well.
"Of course I will tell you. About seven years ago, it was the first week of September. I was just a step away to become the captain. A man came to the precinct reporting for a missing girl. The captain of the precinct handed me that case along with ten officers to help me. I was in charge of leading them and I was my first case to lead a team by myself.." He started telling us the story and we both pulled the chairs closer to his seat to sit beside him.
"What happened next?" I asked in an exciting tone. Both I and Sara were excited to know the real story. After so many years, I was finally getting something about Sierra.
"In the start, it really did not look like a missing person case, I was sure about it. We had searched her room and found a secret diary. It had all her secrets. Including how her step mother tortured her and how her father stopped paying attention towards her. I decided to hide the diary. Because I did not know if her father was not involved in all this. I was not even sure if she was alive or not." He replied and Sara and I both exchanged looks. We looked back at him and he pulled that diary out of his drawer. He gave it to us then continued telling us that story.
"A day later, one of the officers gave me a paper that was thrown into the fireplace. But it was not burned at all. I opened the paper and found something weird written into that paper. It said, don't worry, Sierra. The angels are coming. They will rescue you. She had written it about ten times into that paper but the last line was different. It said, I will be gone but tell the angels to protect Mira from that monster. He will abduct her too then torture her like he always does to me." He said and I pinched the back of my thigh to control my tears. It almost felt like she knew that I would be in trouble too. Sara noticed that I was not able to ask him any questions so she asked him.
"So that's how you were able to learn that the girl was abducted? I mean, I am sure it was not a missing person case. It was truly an abduction case." She asked him the same question I wanted to ask him. He nodded his head and leaned back on his chair.
"Yes! That was how I learned that she was abducted. I suspected both her father and her step mother. And they were both arrested as soon as we learned that she was abducted. We asked them questions but none of them said a single thing." He replied and I frowned in confusion.
"Why did you suspect her father and her step mom? And what about her mother, was she not alive?" I asked him and he looked at me.
"Her step mother had a brother. He used to live with that family. His name was Brian Doyle. Actually, he was the one who filed the case against her father and his own sister. He told us how much they tortured her and all. And about her biological mother, she left her with her father. She did not even take divorce. Her father said that she laid on the bed with him at night but in the morning, she was gone with her belongings. She left a letter that said that Sierra's face reminded her of the favor her sister had done for her. And she just can't live the weight on her shoulders of that favor." He replied and I frowned again. I just did not know how a mother could leave her baby for a favor.
MARSHA'S POV:-"How could a mother leave her child totally helpless? Was she really Sierra's mother?" I asked Captain Falcon and he grinned proudly while looking at me. I was one of the smartest officers working under him. He knew he could expect that kind of question from me."That's why you are one of the smartest officers working under me. She was not Sierra's biological mother. Sierra was given to her by her sister, because she had lost her six children. She never gave birth to a single living child. All dead babies. She did not like her sister either, that was why she left." He replied and I felt pure rage inside my chest for that woman. Because of her selfishness, Sierra had suffered this much."So, Brian Doyle told us everything and we suspected her father and her step mother. We tried to find her real parents if they would have ta
MARSHA'S POV:-It took us almost three hours to gather all the belongings captain Falcon had. We drove him to his home along with all his belongings. His place was fully decorated. Everyone was getting ready for the party. I sighed as I really was not in the mood to attend that stupid party. We set everything in its place. Then we bid our goodbyes and stepped out of his house. We hopped into my car and drove off.I went shopping with Sara after dropping captain Falcon at his place. I did not have anything to wear at the party. Sara had taste in all fashion and dressings that was why I took her with me. I thought she would be helpful but later I regret my decision for bringing her with me. She really was a shopping addicted person. After an hour of searching, I finally started thinking that I was out of my mind when I asked Sara to c
MARSHA'S POV:-I stopped my car in front of that deserted house. It was all dark around and the house was abandoned. That place scared the hell out of me. But I had to check the place. It felt like that place was pulling me towards it. As if it was a magnet and I was a metal element. I pulled my gun out of the dash of my car and checked it, if it was loaded. I stuffed two more refills into the gun belts that were on both of my thighs.I then hopped out of the car and went towards that house. The whole street was deserted. That made me think what would have happened here that the whole street was deserted like no one ever lived there. I did not forget to grab the flashlight I had into my car. I made my way towards the house and checked. I peeked through the windows. But I did not see anything. I tried to look for anyth
MARSHA'S POV:-"Took you long enough, sister. But I am glad that you are here now. Tell me, you are here to save me." I heard that voice and I felt myself glued to the ground."What's wrong, Marsha? Are you not here to save me? You promised me." She said and I turned around. My eyes widened in horror as I saw her standing right in front of me. I actually thought that I was just delusioning when I had seen her in front of me in the morning. But I was proven wrong."Sierra? Is that really you?" I asked her as if I was a fool. She smiled cheekily and nodded her head. She came running towards me and pulled me in a sisterly hug. I just could not believe it. I was hugging a ghost. And felt like she was alive. I could feel her arms wrapped around me."Bloody hell! How am I hugging a gh
MARSHA'S POV:-I opened my eyes and gasped loudly for air. Breathing heavily, I held my hand on my chest. I did not know since when I was not able to breath. But my lungs were on fire. Once my breaths were even, I stood straight and looked around. I was sitting in a garden. And it felt as if I had seen that garden many times.I froze as two arms sneaked around my waist. The arms were long and strong. I started breathing heavily again as I felt someone hugging me from behind. "What is it, Mira? Did you not remember me?" He whispered in my ear. I shut my eyes as suddenly I started to feel something throbbing between my legs."Stupid Mira. How can I react like this? I am not a teenager. So what if I am a virgin. That does not mean that my panties should be wet every time a man would hug me." I thought to myself. He brought his nose towards my
MARSHA'S POV:-I opened my eyes again and looked at the most gorgeous man she had ever seen in her life. His arms were strong and muscular. They were protectively wrapped around my waist, holding me close to his tall figure. His chest was broad. He was taller than me. He had golden skin. I could not help but touch my fingers with his skin. He had light brown hair that was messy. His nose was straight and his lips were pink. He had a chiseled jaw with a lightly grown beard that looked perfect on his face.I tried to touch his face again but was stopped. He held my hand and opened his eyes. With all that killing beauty, his eyes were also murderous. He had deep blue eyes that looked like the ocean. A smirk reached his lips as he noticed me drooling over him. My cheeks burned as I knew he had caught me red handed.I tried to get off of him b
MARSHA'S POV:-I stepped out of the bathroom and looked around. I smiled as I found jeans and a t-shirt set on the bed for me. I went towards the bed and wore my clothes. I brushed my hair and stepped out of the bedroom. The house was not big but it was beautiful. And as compared to my apartment, his room was in a better state. My whole apartment was actually a mess as compared to that place.Hesitantly, I stepped into the kitchen. A beautiful woman looked at me and came towards me. Putting her hand on my back, she guided me towards the dining table. She made me sit and I thanked her. "What is your name, honey?" She asked me while sitting on a chair that was set beside me."Marsha, my name is Marsha Alford." I replied and she grabbed my hands."That i
MARSHA'S POV:-"But how? They said that you committed suicide. And some said that you were killed by one of the patients in that mental health care hospital. Then how?" I asked him in confusion. He looked at Frederick and then back at me. I was still shocked that my father was in the house of that stranger who strangely saved my life and he also knew a lot of things about me. Things that only my mother knew about me."To be honest, I also thought that I would end up dead in that hospital. But all thanks to Frederick who saved me from that hell hole and brought me here. Nobody actually knows that I am still alive. I am still a mystery to them. So no one ever came looking for me." He replied and I looked at Frederick who had a wide smile on his face. As if he knew how much I would be grateful to him for saving the life of my father. It was true. I was grateful.
