Ren's POV

"Please take Hades from me. I would like to speak to your mate in the meantime and Rebekah is too far along to carry a 5-year-old" Ares added sternly to Kaia while sending daggers in my direction. I stirred in my seat.

Kaia approached him nervously and held her arms out for the boy to willingly fall into. He stared into her big doe eyes for a few moments before smiling and reaching for her. She lifted him into her arms and I watched him snuggle against her. She supported his weight and turned to Rebekah who smiled fondly at the interaction. I found myself smiling too and thinking about how our kids would be so lucky to have a mother like my darling.
