Elijah placed a hand on my shaking leg to steady myself and brought his lips close to my ear, “My love relax. We’re just meeting her today. We don’t need to make a decision right away” he assured me.
I exhaled deeply and placed a hand over his, “I know but I’ve read her file over and over again and something is pulling me towards her. I’m just afraid that it’ll turn out like those Lifetime movies” I whispered. I gulped as I looked around the small home of our potential surrogate.
“You watch too much television. Just relax. Like I said we don’t need to decide today” he repeated just as the petite brunette walked back into the living room with a tray of lemonades for us.
