Kaia’s POV
Penelope Wildes.
My third mother figure and one of the most important people in Blaire’s life.
The same woman who left her family 9 years ago without so much as a letter.
She came to me a few days ago and now she’s here again to help us end this once for all.
She’s just as I remember her to be; beautiful blonde waves, big brown eyes, and a heart shaped face. Blaire is the spitting image of her mother which is why she died her hair dark to keep that longing look out of her father’s eyes.
Cassius laughed sinisterly and stood to his feet, “Little Witch! What a wonderful surprise!” he exclaimed.
Penelope glared at him and raised her hands, “This ends now Cassi
Four months later….. Saige’s POV Elijah placed a hand on my shaking leg to steady myself and brought his lips close to my ear, “My love relax. We’re just meeting her today. We don’t need to make a decision right away” he assured me. I exhaled deeply and placed a hand over his, “I know but I’ve read her file over and over again and something is pulling me towards her. I’m just afraid that it’ll turn out like those Lifetime movies” I whispered. I gulped as I looked around the small home of our potential surrogate. “You watch too much television. Just relax. Like I said we don’t need to decide today” he repeated just as the petite brunette walked back into the living room with a tray of lemonades for us. “I apologize for the slight mess. I babysit my nephews m
11 years ago….. Bellatrix’s POV “Baby mine, don't you cry. Baby mine, dry your eyes. Rest your head close to my heart. Never to part, baby of mine” I started to sing as I gently rocked Elios in my arms in the living room. He stirred and yawned before snuggling against my breast with his eyes half way open. I chuckled lightly and ran a finger over his cheek. How beautiful is he? “Don’t be like that Elios” I whispered. “Little one, when you play. Don't you mind what they say. Let your eyes sparkle and shine. Never a tear, baby of mine” I heard the wood creak behind me and sweet scent of honey nectar crept in my nostrils and I smiled, “If they knew all about you. They'd end up loving you, too. All those same people who scold you. What they'd give just for the right to hold you” I continued singing even after feeling Ophelia’s arms wrap around my waist and rested her head on my shoulder. “From your head to your toes. You're not much, heaven knows. But you're so precious to me. Sweet a
It was the year 2001. Winter's sun has set, and the season of spring is becoming to flourish; the numerous flowers were in bloom in the fields. The blue sky went out for miles and happiness flowed through the territory of the Silver Moon Pack. But no one expressed their happiness for the season more than Kaia Woods; the first daughter and child of Luna Bellatrix and Alpha Aldric. Her young 5-year-old self snuck out of the pack house with her younger sister, Saige. Their giggles echoed through the meadow as they ran through grass almost as tall as they were. They chased each other and laughed to their hearts' content as they played but they did not dare get too close to the border separating their territory from the next. After the Great War between the nations, a truce was made where everyone could live respectfully amongst others. Everyone ranging from Werewolf, Vampire, Witch, Fae, Demon, Deity and anything you could ever imagine has agreed to the truce in hopes of a
Fire. It was everywhere. Consuming all that it touched with no exceptions and it grew taller by the second. The blood curling screams of people around me drowned my thoughts as I looked around me. Men, women and children alike all ran frantically either carrying the wounded or grieving the fallen. Some were charred from the fire or covered in ash from the smoke but they shared one thing in common; the look of fear in their eyes.A rough series of coughs shook me but I still pulled myself to my feet. "Saige! Elios!" I screamed out for my siblings in hopes to find them in the chaos. But all I got in return were more screams of pain from other members in my pack."SAIGE! ELIOS!" I screamed louder, holding my throat in support. It felt dry as desert and the hot atmosphere brought tears to my eyes. I wobbled forward and
**WARNING: CONTAINS ACTS OF DOMESTIC AND PHYSICAL ABUSE**Driving Elios to school consisted of Saige constantly flipping through different genres of music while having the aux and singing to the top of her lungs beside me in the passenger seat. I looked in my rear view mirror to see Elijah staring lovingly at my sister as always and Elios has his headphones over his ears as he drew in his sketchbook. The joys of being a child make me envious of my younger brother."Ooooh Kaia! This used to be our song! Throwback!" my sister yelled and Barbie Girl by Aqua blasted through the speakers and Saige shook the car with her dancing. I laughed along with my sister and found myself singing along with her; quietly though and kept my focus on the road.Soon after the song ended, we found ourselves
"Well Luna, your head wound has healed fabulously on the drive back over. No need for stitches but I will help clean the blood off" our pack doctor, Juliet, told me. She reached behind her and grabbed a white cloth and dipped it in a bowl of warm water before bringing it to my head. "I'm assuming your visit with your father was a pleasant one" she said sarcastically.I scoffed and rolled my eyes, "Just peachy" I replied. Juliet frowned and continued to clean the dried blood off my scalp, side of my face and my neck until she was satisfied. "You're good to go darling" she told me, patting my back gently."Thank you Juliet" I told her and I slipped off the bed and stood to my feet; I grabbed my camo jacket that was laid beside me and started to take my leave."By the way, happy birthday and that necklace never looked more beautiful than it does on you" she called to me as she washed her hands in the nearby sink. I touched the gem and smiled at her, she was there f
Driving to the club was not an issue. Driving 45 minutes with Saige singing at the top of her lungs was the fucking issue. I tried to contain my frustration as to not ruin the happy atmosphere and looked forward to the loud music that would drown out her off-tune howling. I don't leave the pack house often, not since I graduated from college. I even tasked a few other pack members to go grocery shopping for me when the time needed. I liked being inside, away from other people; away from my potential mate. But when the view of tall tress became more and more scarce, I was reminded again why I should reconsider and start leaving the house more. The dark sky and moonlight hid most of the beauty around me but with my vision the sight of lights radiating off the buildings held me in a gaze. The crowds of people walking to various locations with no care in the world brought a taste of envy in my mouth. They walked to different clubs, everyone in the groups was laughing and no one h
Approximately 20 years ago...Bellatrix's POV"Mommy, I hurted myself in da grass" my little Saige whined in my arms as I made my way to the back door of the pack house. I withheld a laugh at her choice of words and kissed her cheek. "Don't worry my sweet. Juliet will take care of you" I assured her and right on cue with my words, Juliet stood in the hallway right outside of the infirmary door waiting for us.Saige squealed excitedly and reached over for Juliet. Juliet laughed and happily took my daughter in her arms. "A little birdie told me you got a few scratches from outside" she said. Saige pouted and lifted up her elbow to reveal a paper cut thin scratch covered in dirt."Ju-ju pwease elp me" she whined."Oh at once my princess. We can't have our precious Saige in pain can we?" Juliet asked before turning on her heels and walked into the infirmary with Saige squealing happily in her arms. I smiled warmly at the sight before I
