Chapter 5

I was awake by midnight and had every possession I owned with me. I carried my purse and rolled my suitcase down the hall and carried it down the stairs. I opened the front door to see Landon’s cold glare. I glared back and shoved passed him and walked towards my truck. I put my suitcase in the back seat and got into the front, putting my purse in the passenger's seat.

“Here.” Landon says coldly while handing me my beanie he stole from me yesterday.

“Thanks.” I say just as coldly. “Tell them I love them and I’ll call once I figure out where I’m going.”

I slam my door and don’t wait for a reply before I start my truck and leave, not looking back at all.

Driving, I turn my phone off and turn the radio up. Leaving Dallas Center, I reach Grimes and go to Walmart to get supplies for my trip.
