Fifty- NineNICOLETTE’S POV —“What was that, baby?” Kian exclaimed as soon as he got off the river.Half of my lips curved for a smirk as I crossed my arms, “You said you can't heal. So I let the river do the job.”“You throw me to the river!”“And look,” my gaze dropped to his wrist, “your wound is healed. You're welcome.”His jaw tightened slightly as he pushed his wet hair back. Droplets of water traced the sharp line of Kian's jaw, trickling down his neck and over his collarbones before sliding across his bare chest.I'd seen him half-naked before so why the hell did he look so different now?I was about to roll my eyes when a strong wind slapped my face. And in the next heartbeat, Kian's nose was already touching mine, his arms locked around my waist.“You're making me melt with that look.” His warm breath brushed against my face, absorbing down to my skin. One of my eyebrows arched. “Just checking if the river caused any serious damage to your head.”That knowing smirk again pl

Fifty- EightNICOLETTE'S POV–Apart from witnessing something between historical and traumatic, there was nothing more horrifying than seeing your whole body covered with blood but no wound, while drowning in a bloody red river. I knew without a doubt that motherfucking James Roswell drove a sword to my body but I couldn't find a faintest wound. Am I really damn dead this time? But for some supernatural reason, this golden mist that spiraled to my body felt like it was pulling me up. My brain cells weren't functioning but one thing was for sure— I needed to get my shit out of here.My hands were reaching the surface that seemed like rippled water until a cold wind wrapped around my fingers.I’m almost to my resurrection.Water splashed across the ground as I finally made it out of the river. The first thing I saw was a brownish wolf flying across the woods before its claws tore into the earth, carving deep trenches as it struggled to regain control. For a heartbeat, my eyes were glued

The feeling that I had been here before, yet for some reasons, it felt different— tall trees, dancing leaves, blooming flowers and soft, gentle chuckles. But as far as I am concerned, I knew I fell on the river, and…. Realization hit me like a voltage, my hands, as if it had their own minds, flew across my body.No wound? Not even a single drop of blood? My eyeballs almost came off, staring at my arms and clutching on my shirt. Cold water washed over my body, my skin was warm as if it had never been drowned in the river. What the fuck is happening? Am I really dead this time?“Kian!” My voice growled, repeating in the brightness of the sunrays. My gaze darted everywhere, not sure of what I was looking for. I couldn't find Kian, Laurent, James and Uncle, which I was pretty sure that they were here. James e

His eyeballs were completely consumed by black, jaw tightened as his fangs slip
