Annelise's POV

If anything, Rex has been so supportive since I know him. Though I know everything he's doing attributes to Ethan since he's his boss.

“I'll keep you updated on other things as time goes by. But it's nothing serious, that's if he stays indoors for three days." Rex said.

As if on cue, the front doors were opened and Ethan came out dressed in suit. Rex and i's jaw dropped in shock.

He looked at me for some seconds before looking away like I wasn't there at all before glancing at Rex.

Even Rex wasn't dressed for work. “Why are you still here when you should be ready for work." He asked Rex.

"The doctor said-” Ethan cut him off.

"F*ck what the doctor told you, I'm okay. Is that the reason you're out here gisting when you should be getting ready for work?”

I'd have surely supported him not going to work today if we were on speaking terms seeing how weak he looked yesterday, but I just couldn't say anything.
