Chapter 41

Ricardo, who had been at a conference until approximately eight o'clock that night, was taken aback when he arrived home and discovered that Lisa was not waiting for him.

Perplexed, he pulled out his phone and dialed her number, which went straight to voicemail, then he dialed his personal driver's number, whom he had asked to pick her up from work.

"Sir?" The driver said.

"What about Lisa?" Inquired Ricardo.

"She called me before it was even time for me to pick her up to tell me that I shouldn't bother picking her up."

"Okay." Ricardo said and then hung up the phone.

He attempted to calm himself down by going to the kitchen and prepared their dinners.

After cooking their dinner, he set the table and waited for about thirty minutes before rising out of his seat and retrieving his car key.

He zoomed out of his garage a few minutes later and headed to Lisa's house.
