"Of course, this was the right choice for Alex, he should have opened his eyes from the start,"

“I support you, Alex!!!”

“I like this new couple, they look good together, but where is the girl? is she still a gold digger?”

These are just some of the comments that Olivia read from one of the news stories on her social media. The news shocked her, she had never even heard about Alex's wedding plans with Carol, and this morning, the news surfaced and Olivia felt like an idiot because she didn't know anything.

She was still in the penthouse, where she and Alex had lived for about 3 years. While they were pretending to be dating, Alex asked her to stay there so that reporters and his family would believe that they loved each other like a normal couple.

But Olivia's life has changed a lot since she was next to the CEO, she heard a lot of bad things around her, and many accused her of just wanting to dig up treasure from Alex's rich family and so on, but only they knew the real reason.

Alex came out of his room and found Olivia already at the dining table, breakfast was also served there as usual.

"Morning," Alex kissed Olivia's head before sitting in front of her, but his hands had not touched the cutlery, he looked at Olivia who didn't look okay.

"What is it? are you okay?” Alex said.

"Why didn't you tell me about your wedding plans with Carol?" Olivia said while looking at him.

“Oh is the news out yet?” Alex said casually.

"What? You knew about this wedding and you didn't tell me anything?” Olivia said.

“Why should I tell you? This won't change anything about us," Alex said.

"Are you crazy? then why am I here? I'm sure you know, how many people have hated me since I was by your side, they all sneered at me and said that I was just a gold digger, I was a loan shark who wanted to rob you and your family of your wealth, Alex," Olivia said.

"The reason why you're here is because you're under contract with me, and you have to stay here until the contract is finished," Alex said.

“You want me to be your mistress?” Olivia said.

“No, you are still my girlfriend, and will always be, why are you still looking at your social media? I told you to learn to ignore it," Alex said.

"You're crazy," Olivia said and got up from her seat trying to leave.

"Where are you goin'?" Alex said.

"I'm done with all this Alex!" Olivia said.

"Not for me!" Alex said.

"It's up to you, for me we're over," Olivia said and Alex grabbed her before Olivia left her.

“This is my decision! Get out of this place then you know what will happen to your mother," Alex said and his words were able to make Olivia speechless.

"I won't repeat what I said, Olivia! Our contract isn't over yet so finish your duties or you know what will happen to your mother!” Alex said.

"Damn you!" Olivia said and Alex took Olivia into his arms, making Olivia shed tears.

"I know this is hard for you, but ending this relationship won't make it much easier Olivia, and you are my girlfriend, so be nice to me, I will give you anything, anything as I promised," Alex said and he kissed Olivia on the forehead before returning to the dinner table.

“Why are you still there? Come here, and eat your breakfast before it gets cold," Alex said.

Olivia didn't say anything and went to her room, Alex only heard the sound of the door slamming and smiled before returning to eating his breakfast.

Olivia still remembers very clearly the first time they met, it was like a miracle for Olivia, when she was in the hospital because her mother's condition was worsening but they rejected Olivia because of costs.

Alex comes in like a hero and offers Olivia something she thought was just a dream. Alex will pay for all of Olivia's mother's treatment on one condition, a condition that many other girls besides Olivia might want.

They only need to pretend to be lovers for 5 years and Alex will fulfill all of Olivia's needs, including the costs for her mother's treatment at the hospital.

At that time Olivia was in a position where she had no other choice but to accept the offer. She only thought about her mother, and how she could recover, even though it was the same as selling herself to a strange man she had just met.

But as time went by, Olivia realized that she wasn't playing a role with an ordinary man, she started to find out who Alex was and how shocked she was when she found out that Alex was a famous CEO who was very rich, and of course, a poor girl seemed to be the center of attention when she was next to him.

There are several rules that Alex provides in their contract, such as:

1. While they were dating, Olivia had to live with Alex in the Penthouse.

2. Olivia is not allowed to ask about Alex's things unless Alex tells her.

3. They can carry out activities like relationships in general without putting feelings into it.

4. Alex will fulfill all Olivia and her mother's needs until the contract ends.

5. If Olivia resigns or cancels the contract unilaterally, she must pay all the expenses that Alex has given her, including hospital fees.

These rules are very easy to follow, maybe most girls who are crazy about Alex would be happy to do it, but not so for Olivia. Especially the first time Alex kissed him.

Evening came, as usual, Olivia had prepared dinner for her boyfriend, and she had also showered and looked beautiful before Alex came home.

She looked at the clock on the wall, it was 7 pm, and in about 10 to 15 minutes Alex would come through the door. But not that night, the door opened early and Alex appeared there with a big bouquet full of roses in his hand.

"Hi, you are very beautiful babe," Alex said, he gave the bouquet to Olivia and kissed her forehead as usual.

"Thank you, but why are you giving me flowers like this?" Olivia said.

"As a sign of my forgiveness to you because I shouted at you this morning, I wanted to take you to dinner at a restaurant, but I was sure you wouldn't answer my phone, so I bought you your favorite flowers instead," Alex said.

“You don't have to, but thank you for the flowers,” Olivia said.

"Where's my kiss?" Alex said and Olivia immediately kissed him on the lips.

"You better clean yourself up before dinner, I'm going to move these flowers to a vase," Olivia said.

"Why won't you help me clean up?" Alex said in a teasing tone.

“Aish! Go," Olivia said and Alex just chuckled before going into his room.

Olivia took the beautiful flowers to the island in the kitchen. She took a vase that was big enough to put the flowers in it.

Her mind went elsewhere, to be honest, being in Alex's life for the past 3 years made Olivia war with her feelings. What Alex did to her was something that many girls dream of and she was lucky that Alex chose her at that time.

But knowing that their relationship is only bound by a contract means that Olivia has to build a high wall between her feelings and her duties. She couldn't let herself fall into the abyss just because she followed her heart.

After dinner, as usual, they would spend time in front of the TV watching Olivia's favorite drama. Alex put his arm around her and let Olivia lay her head on Alex's chest.

“I'll probably be home late tomorrow,” Alex said.

“Okay, should I make you dinner?” Olivia said.

"Of course, I want us to have dinner together, or at least you accompany me to dinner," Alex said.

“Okay,” Olivia said.

“Olivia,” Alex said.

“Hm?” Olivia said with her eyes still focused on the TV.

"Look at me," Alex said and Olivia raised her head to look at the CEO.

"Whatever happens in the future, don't even think about ending our contract," Alex said.

"Why?" Olivia said.

“You know the answer,” Alex said.

"But you never said from the start that there would be a possibility like this in our relationship," Olivia said.

"Because I never thought about it in the first place," Alex said.

“Do…do you love her?” Olivia said and Alex just smiled at her.

"It's late," Alex said and brought his face closer to Olivia before kissing her lips, cupping Olivia's cheek with one hand and making Olivia lie down on the sofa without breaking the kiss.
