Mr Domineering Boss Stubborn Contract Bride

    PROLOGUE

Ten years old Crystal walked into the house, her parents had forgotten to pick her up from school, it has been a habit so she wasn't perturbed, she was usually forgotten to be picked up by her parents just like today. She would just hitch a ride with Mrs. Ester, their closest neighbor, and mother of her best friend Starlia. 

No sooner she had entered her room that her mother came in to apologize.

  "It's nothing Mum, I am fine" she replied to her mother's apology.

"I promise I'll make it up to you, I'll make things right" her mother said as she kissed Crystal's forehead and made to leave.

Crystal turn to the other side of the bed and pretended as if she is sleeping as she listens to her mother's quiet footsteps walking away, a single tear came rolling down her cheek.

      She jerked awake and realized she had fallen asleep, her parents raised voices echoed in her ears, it was actually what had woken her up, her parents were at it again, they are always at each other's throats, sometimes she wondered why they are still together.

" She is just a kid, I do not want her involve in your dirty business" her mum was saying rather screaming on top of her voice.

" My dirty business keeps food on the  table and pays all the bills of this goddamn house" her father restorted.

"Dirty business? What dirty business are they talking about? Crystal wondered 

" She's old enough to be brought in" her father yelled.

"No,you would do no such thing.

You would do no such thing" her mother's voice was shaky and agitated.

Crystal wondered what they are talking about, she went towards the direction of the voices, her hands were on the door handle when she heard grunt of pain erupting from her mum, a sharp piercing  scream that was cut short by deafening silence. She quickly ran towards the direction of the stairs where the noise was coming from and she halted immediately and gasp at the sight before her, her father was standing over the lifeless body of her mother.

Her father whirled around at the sound of her gasp and Crystal's eyes rounded with fear,heart thudding so fast, she felt limb.

" I didn't do it" her father was saying to her but all Crystal could see was her mum's lifeless body, her gaze went back to her father.

" She fell off the stairs, I didn't lay a finger on her, but everything is fine Hun, let's get you outta here"

Crystal couldn't hear a thing anymore, blood was rushing to her head so fast, her head was spinning, she felt so dizzy and her legs suddenly felt like butter, it couldn't hold her anymore.

"Crystal? Her father called but all she could feel was darkness enveloping her, she could hear her father calling her but his voice seems to come from a distance and suddenly she could hear nothing at all, she can only see blackness before her body met the cold floor.
