Su Jianxi accepted the call and immediately heard Sis Kimi’s excited voice across the speakers. “Jianxi, did you see what’s trending today? Hahaha, Su Huanran’s probably crying herself to death in the toilet right now. It’s so weird, but when I posted the video about how they made you take the fall, it quickly went viral. Heaven’s Entertainment and Su Huanran are getting beat to the ground right now.”

Li Tingxiao’s appearance had given Su Jianxi no time to look at what else had happened online after that.

Now that she heard Sis Kimi’s report, she knew that her first attack went very well.

Li Tingxiao was standing behind Su Jianxi, so he heard Sis Kimi’s words too. His sexy lips curved slightly.

It seemed that after he threw the company to the brat Jingchen, the kid had gotten better at making things work.

“Jianxi, I just received an invitation from Heroic Emperor Entertainment. One of the higher-ups in their company wants to sign you, so tell me when you’re free and let’s drop by Heroic Emperor. Also, the director of the girl power film Su Huanran was filming has stated that he wants you to take her place.”

The barrage of good news left Su Jianxi indescribably excited after she ended the call.

It felt as though she had a cheat code or something.

Li Tingxiao brought his silly little wife back to his place, while the entire Heaven’s Entertainment Group was in utter chaos after the incident today.

Inside Shen Siming’s office, Su Huanran had been crying non-stop. “Siming, I’m sorry. I really don’t know how things turned out this way.”

Shen Siming watched as Su Huanran cried her eyes out, his expression dark. She did not look as pitifully lovable as she used to now; in fact, he grew more and more irritated at her.

“I told you countless times now. I can support you, but you have to bring some skills to the table too. Now the entire Heaven’s Entertainment is in deep trouble because of you, and the director wants to break the contract too. Could you try not to cause me so much trouble?”

This was the first time Shen Siming lost his temper at her, and Su Huanran knew that she had really kicked the hornets’ nest this time, so she pleaded even more tenderly, “I want to act properly too, but my body hasn’t been the same since I became pregnant. That’s why I couldn’t get into the mood. Siming, I really didn’t mean to.”

When Shen Siming heard her mention her pregnancy, his expression lightened up somewhat.

He pulled Su Huanran into his arms and said, “I’ll solve this problem for you. You just take good care of yourself and the baby.”

The atmosphere in the office became unnaturally rose-colored, and it started to get hot in there.

Before Su Jianxi could even reach Li Tingxiao’s place, she received a call from Su Bohai.

Su Jianxi had always idolized her father, ever since she was a child.

Her mother had passed away more than ten years ago, but he never once remarried.

Now, however, she knew that it was not because he did not want to remarry. Instead, he had already been sneaking around with Su Huanran’s mother, Qin Fen, for more than twenty years.

In other words, Su Bohai had gotten it on with the Su Family nanny, Qin Fen, when Su Jianxi’s mother was pregnant.

The thought that she had been lied to for so many years forced Su Jianxi to take a good many deep breaths before she could say, “Hey, Dad.”

“Are you back from your trip, Jianxi?”

“Yeah.”

“I got Aunt Qin to make dinner. Why don’t you come back and join us?”

Su Jianxi wanted to decline, but Li Tingxiao nodded next to her, so she had no choice but to agree.

After she hung up, Li Tingxiao said, “This won’t be a simple dinner, not by a long shot. Remember, you have to keep a tight hold on what’s yours.”

Su Jianxi had not suspected anything of Su Bohai’s call, but she instantly raised her guard when Li Tingxiao said that.

“Alright, I got it.” Su Jianxi looked at the man in front of her, feeling as though she had followed the right person.

“Remember to come home as soon as possible. This is our wedding night, after all.”
