DANTE'S POV
"What is going on?" I said to myself as soon as I felt Aurelia's around my body.
My body went still, as I couldn't believe what was happening.
"Save me…" She repeated and my head snapped to look down at her.
"She can get close to me!" Those words rang in my head and mind.
"She is not affected by my aura." I said to myself, as my eyes shone.
I couldn't believe what was happening as it was a pain in the ass that no one could come a meter close to me.
My head snapped to look at my Beta, Lucas, at his words, "Get away from the Alpha." He yelled and a deep growl resounded from my chest.
Immediately after, Lucas marched toward me with an angry expression on his face. His eyes were set on Aurelia and he just wanted to get her away from me.
He looked surprised and shocked at the same time.
I couldn't blame him and as he stepped a meter close to me, in the next second, his eyes widened in pain and his legs shook and his head was bent, in obeisance to me.
"This is not happening." I said to myself as I watched Lucas whimper in pain. He was starting to sweat buckets, as Aurelia whimpered against my chest.
Lucas was affected by my powerful Alpha aura.
No one could step close to me and not get affected and I was greatly shocked because I still had Aurelia close to me.
"Get away from me." I yelled at Lucas not wanting him to be in pain for so long.
He knew what he was supposed to do and in the next second, he stepped away from and fell heavily to the ground.
On the other hand, Aurelia took a step away from me and unwound her hands.
"Ahhh…" She let out in an incoherent tone but I immediately caught onto her, as she looked frightened.
"Wait!" I said, realizing she thought I yelled at her instead of Lucas.
In the next second, she froze with her palms on either side of my body.
I looked deeply into her eyes as everything and everyone else was frozen.
I couldn't comprehend what she was and how she was able to get close to me.
My hand wound around her waist and immediately I drew her close to me.
"Hmmm…" She whined as our bodies were glued to each other. My fingers found their ways to her face and I held her chin up.
"Who the hell are you?" I asked, as I observed her.
I couldn't see anything special about her. I couldn't deny that she was cute but then she looked really ordinary.
On the other hand, my pack members had gone still, with their eyes widened.
No one dared to come close to me and I turned to look at them.
I could see the fear in their eyes toward me and the hate they had toward Aurelia.
I did not know so much about the girl in my arms but then I had heard her being called Aurelia.
"Alpha, you have to stay away from her." One of the male pack members shouted boldly while pointing at Aurelia.
His eyes were still red and his other was clenched.
He tried to stop himself from jumping at Aurelia.
My brows drew into a frown and I was about to ask my Beta to investigate what was going on but then before I could say anything, I was cut off.
"She's jinxed. You should throw her into the sea." Another pack member shouted and I felt Aurelia shake against me. His teeth chattered as he tried to suppress his desire for the girl in my arms.
I then bent my head to look at her only to find her looking up at me.
Her little hands found their way to my chest and she clutched onto my shirt.
My heart melted and I could see a tear drop from her left eye.
"What's going on here? Who is she?" I asked as my head snapped to look at my pack members. I did not want to look at Aurelia as her tears caused my heart to clench.
I was starting to feel a pull toward her but I did not want to think it was there.
"She's a stealer and a bane to the pack. She is just trying to warm her way to your bed." A male pack member said, with so much confidence.
His words caused Aurelia to shake her head violently.
Her hands shook as she continued to shake her head.
I knew she was trying to communicate something to me and I saw how innocent she looked.
I realized that she was just trying to get away from everyone that was holding onto her.
"Do you know me?" I asked her and she nodded frantically while looking up to me.
I could see that her eyes were in a daze as she looked up to me.
The look of admiration and attraction was evident in her eyes and I knew she felt the mate pull too.
Our bodies were still glued and I noticed goosebumps lining her skin as her nipples puckered against her thin dress.
My body was starting to heat up and I could feel my shaft harden.
I just wanted to have her in my arms but then why was she mute and why was she detested.
"You can't talk?" I asked her with a frown on my face.
"She's mute! She's fucking dumb." I heard someone shout and realization dawned on me.
I was suddenly filled with disgust toward her and immediately I pushed her away.
"Get away from me." I said, as I pushed her and immediately she fell to the ground with a loud thud.
"Hmmm…" She let out, her eyes showing how hurt she was.
She couldn't even express her feelings. How was she going to be my Luna? At that point, my resolve to reject her, strengthened.
"I don't want a mute for a mate!" I declared, shooting her a cold and distant look.
Immediately after I turned around without looking back but in the next second, I felt hands wound around my legs.
"Hmmm hmmm…" Aurelia let out incoherent words.
She did not want to let me go and she acted like I was her only support.
I wasn't ready to be one, though.
I did not need to do anything as in the next moment, the male pack members immediately rushed toward her.
They held onto her legs and dragged her away from me.
"Hmmm hmmm…" I heard her say as the distance between us lengthened.
I did not look back for once and I did not care what they did to her.
In the next second, guards with gas masks gathered around Aurelia and they immediately dragged the werewolves around her away.
They tried to maintain order and immediately they caught onto Aurelia.
"Nnooo…" She managed to let out and I knew she was calling onto me.
Even though I was far away from her now, I could still hear what she was saying due to my werewolf senses.
"Save…hmmm" She forced herself to say something as her hand clawed at the ground.
She wanted to live!
Aurelia's Point Of ViewI took a deep breath, my heart heavy with the burden of forgiveness and reconciliation. "Dante," I began, "I know that Vivian was involved in what happened to me, and I can't deny the pain and betrayal I felt. But I also know that she was manipulated by Genevieve, just as I was."Dante regarded me with a mixture of pride and concern. "Aurelia, forgiveness is a noble path, but it's not always easy. Are you sure this is what you want?"I nodded firmly, my resolve unwavering. "Yes, Dante. I believe that forgiveness can heal wounds and strengthen bonds. Vivian was once a dear friend, and I want to offer her a chance to make amends. Maybe, in doing so, we can rebuild the trust we once shared."Dante's expression softened, and he gently squeezed my shoulder. "You have a compassionate heart, my love. If that is your wish, then we shall go to Vivian and extend our forgiveness."Tears of gratitude welled up in my eyes as I embraced my mate. It was a step toward healing
Danciana's Point Of View I found myself standing at the edge of the dense forest, hidden in the cloak of shadows, my heart racing like a wild stallion. The tantalizing whispers of intrigue had reached my ears, carried by the winds of gossip that blew through our pack like a tempest. Alpha Augustine, the unyielding leader of the neighboring pack, had issued an ominous decree—the arrest of Genevieve, Aurelia's stepmother. I couldn't simply ignore the electric curiosity that surged through me. I had to know every detail of what was transpiring. With each cautious step, I ventured further into the foreign territory that belonged to our neighboring pack. The scent of unknown wolves hung heavy in the air, a strange and potent mixture with the familiar earthy aroma of the woods. It wasn't long before the clearing came into view, a bustling hub of activity teeming with pack members. My keen eyes roved through the crowd, searching for the familiar faces of my own pack mates. I approached Ezra
Bryan's Point of viewI couldn't believe my eyes. Was that Aurelia? I thought she was dead. So, Genevieve only lied to me. This was unfair. How could I have believed her? I neglected my own daughter so much, and now I feel like the worst father in the world. I felt like I let my own daughter down. I felt like I had ignored her when she needed me the most.My heart pounded in my chest as I walked up to my daughter, each step heavy with the weight of regret and longing."Aurelia," I called out, my voice choked with emotion. She turned towards me, her eyes widening in disbelief, and then she rushed into my arms, embracing me with a warmth that washed away the years of guilt and sorrow. "Father. I missed you so much," she whispered, tears streaming down her cheeks."I'm so sorry, Aurelia," I whispered back, my own tears mixing with hers. "I'm so sorry for neglecting you. I should have watched over you and taken care of you. It's all my fault. I thought I lost you.""You didn't lose me, Da
Genevieve's Point Of ViewI knew I was my own downfall, and no matter what I did, Alpha Augustine would still punish me. All I could do now was to plead with my stepdaughter Aurelia for kidnapping her and trying to kill her. I could be locked up for more than twenty years in a dungeon for my crimes. And I was scared to death that my mate Bryan may find out about Casey being my daughter, which no one knows for the past twenty-three years of her life.As I scanned the crowd, my heart sank as I saw Bryan join the gathering, his eyes filled with concern and curiosity. Panic surged within me, knowing that his presence might unearth the dark secret I had harbored for so long. The thought of losing him, the only source of solace in my turbulent life, was unbearable.Summoning every ounce of courage I had left, I rushed towards Aurelia, my knees hitting the ground hard as I knelt before her, tears streaming down my face. "Aurelia, please," I begged, my voice trembling with desperation. "I'm s
Aurelia's Point Of View:I sat down in my small, dimly lit room, engrossed in the pages of a thrilling novel. The world within the book offered a brief escape from the harsh reality I had been living through. Angela, my loyal and compassionate friend, walked in, her footsteps barely making a sound on the creaky wooden floor. She cleared her throat gently, breaking the silence that enveloped me."Hey, Aurelia," Angela said softly, concern etched into her features. "How are you holding up?"I closed the book and looked up at her, offering a faint but grateful smile. "I'm doing as well as I can, Angela. Thanks to you, I'm safe now."Angela's eyes softened, and she shook her head. "You don't have to thank me, Aurelia. I couldn't let them take you."I nodded, my heart swelling with gratitude for my friend's unwavering support. "I know, but I still appreciate everything you've done for me."Curiosity danced in Angela's eyes as she pulled up a chair and sat down beside me. "So, what's your n
Genevieve's Point Of ViewI was in my car, parked inconspicuously at our usual meeting spot, waiting for Casey. The cold air inside the car did little to alleviate the growing unease in my chest. Each passing second felt like an eternity, and my impatience was getting the best of me.Finally, the car door swung open, and Casey slipped into the passenger seat. Her face was a mosaic of emotions - anxiety, relief, and something else I couldn't quite place. I couldn't hide my irritation as I turned to her, my fingers tapping impatiently on the steering wheel."What took you so long, Casey?" I snapped, my tone sharp and accusatory.Casey's eyes darted around nervously, her lips trembling. "I'm sorry, Genevieve," she stammered, her voice quivering. "I... I couldn't find Vivian at our usual meeting spot."My heart skipped a beat, and a shiver of fear raced down my spine. Panic began to well up within me as I asked, "Are you absolutely sure? Did she say anything about us?"Casey's voice remai
