“Tonight we share a bed!”

Still unsure of what is happening I wait patiently in the living room with Callie. Robin is outside with whoever had come to save the day in the chopper.

With the power of a hurricane the front door slams open, making Cammie and Callie jump with nervous tension. In rushes a woman with blue dreadlocks and a black leather coat. She runs straight to Callie and wraps her arms around her, “Jesus! What a night? You girls do not want to go out there, there’s a lot of blood” she says with a big eyed warning.

My thoughts immediately turn to Robin, and she sees the panic in my face.

“Your mountain man is just fine”, she’s quick to reassure me.

She turns to Callie and whispers in her ear, almost so quietly that I only just make out what she says, “I’m glad your okay, I was worried about you”. And she nuzzles her nose up against Callie’s cheek.
