“This child has been poisoned.”

For a moment, no one moved.

Then I reached for Noah.

“Don’t touch him!” Selene screamed.

She pulled him closer, but another violent tremor passed through his body.

“Put him down,” Maeve ordered. “Now.”

Something in her voice cut through the panic. Selene lowered Noah onto the rug while Maeve opened her medical bag. I moved to help, but Selene blocked me with one arm.

“Stay away from him.”

I stared at her. “I’m trying to help.”

“You helped him before.”

  • My Alpha Buried the Wrong Luna   CHAPTER 169: THE RECORDS MUST BE SEEN (Part A)

CASSIANBy dawn, I had stopped looking for a way to preserve the old law and started looking for a way to end its secrecy. The distinction mattered more than it sounded. For weeks I had been trying to find some careful, defensible way to keep the succession records intact without letting them become a weapon — a way to honor what the founders had written without handing anyone new grounds for war. Somewhere in the night, sitting alone with the candles burned low and my eyes aching from the small, cramped handwriting of dead men, I had understood that this was the wrong question entirely. The records were no longer simply historical documents. They had become currency. Several Alphas were already citing them to justify territorial claims that hadn't been seriously contested in generations, while the council cited the very same pages to defend its own right to decide who could see them at all.If we released only the documents that supported our position, we would become another version

  • My Alpha Buried the Wrong Luna   Chapter 168: MERIN'S LAST BATTLE

MERINMerin reached the restoration camp before sunset, but he could already feel that something had changed. The warriors who once greeted him with confidence now watched him cautiously, whispering among themselves as he passed. Several of the old bloodline leaders had gathered near the command tent, and none of them looked pleased to see him. The movement he had built was still carrying his name, but increasingly, its decisions were being made by people who no longer believed they needed him.He entered the tent and found six leaders gathered around a large map of the northern territories. Arven stood at the center, one hand resting on the table while the others discussed the roads leading toward Blackridge. Merin recognized several of the markings immediately. They weren't defensive positions anymore. They were routes for an assault."What are you planning?" Merin asked. The conversation stopped.Arven looked up without surprise. "You already know.""I know enough to understand tha

  • My Alpha Buried the Wrong Luna   Chapter 167: THE KEEPER SPEAKS

ELARAThe Keeper representative arrived at the House just before sunset, when the courtyard was beginning to fill with families returning from the outer shelters. I had expected them to come surrounded by guards, but they appeared alone, carrying no visible weapon and wearing the same plain clothing as before. That did not make me trust them. If anything, their willingness to enter without protection suggested they were confident enough to believe they didn't need it.I met them at the entrance with two House guards behind me. Kael had wanted to be present, but I had asked him to remain at the northern gate while Ronan watched the movement of the armies outside. We couldn't afford to turn every conversation into a military confrontation, especially when the person standing before me had come to speak rather than attack."Before you enter," I said, "your weapons stay outside."The representative glanced at the guards."I have none.""Then there should be no problem."They nodded and st

  • My Alpha Buried the Wrong Luna   Chapter 166: WHAT ADRIAN STOLE

NOAHFor several seconds, I could only stare at the shelves bearing my father's name. The archive around us had been preserved for generations, yet this section looked different from everything else. The boxes were arranged carefully, their labels written in the same precise handwriting I had seen throughout Adrian's journal. I reached through the iron bars and touched the nearest folder, expecting the Keeper seal, but found Adrian's mark instead."Elias," I said quietly. "What did he do?"Elias didn't answer.I opened the gate and stepped inside. The first box contained copies of territorial agreements. The second held bloodline records. The third contained pages comparing different versions of the same succession law. Adrian had written notes beside several documents, pointing out changes in wording, missing signatures, and dates that didn't match the official records.I picked up one of the copies and compared it with a document from the main archive. They appeared almost identical

  • My Alpha Buried the Wrong Luna   Chapter 165: THE ARCHIVE BELOW

NOAHThe passage beneath Blackridge was narrower than I had imagined. Elias walked ahead with a lantern while I followed closely behind, one hand resting against the rough stone wall. Two guards came behind us, carrying supplies and keeping watch over the entrance. The route had been hidden for so long that parts of it were covered in dust and loose rock, but Adrian's notes had given us enough directions to find the way.Above us, the battle continued.Every distant impact traveled through the stone.I could feel the vibration beneath my feet whenever something struck the fortress walls, but Elias never stopped. He moved with the certainty of someone who had walked these passages before, and that bothered me."You've been here."He didn't turn around."Not this far.""Then how do you know where you're going?""Your father left instructions."I studied his back."How many times did Father come here?""Once that I know of.""And you followed him?""No. Adrian came alone."That answer st

  • My Alpha Buried the Wrong Luna   Chapter 164: THE FIRST ATTACK

RONANThe first arrow struck the outer wall before the attacking force reached the road.It was not enough to cause damage, but it changed everything. Warriors along the Blackridge defenses immediately raised their shields while others moved toward the positions they had been assigned. Across the valley, the advancing force continued forward without slowing, their weapons drawn and their formation tight.I climbed onto the nearest section of the wall and looked down at them."Hold your positions," I ordered. "Nobody advances beyond the defensive line."Several warriors looked toward me, clearly expecting a different command. They had spent the morning preparing for an attack, and now that one had finally come, instinct was telling them to meet it with force. I understood that instinct. What I couldn't allow was for Blackridge to become the side that turned a controlled confrontation into a full battle.Another group of arrows struck the ground below the wall."Shields up!" I shouted.
