Lucian had always been a protective mate, and I couldn't blame him for worrying about our unborn child. We strolled through the garden, the sun casting dappled shadows through the leaves of the ancient oak trees. The scent of blooming flowers hung in the air, making the garden feel like a tranquil oasis.

Lucian continued, his concern evident in his voice, "I know, Elisa, but I can't help but worry. You've been spending so much time out here, and I can't help but think you're pushing yourself too hard."

I paused in my gardening, turning to face him. "Lucian, you know I find peace in this garden. It helps me relax and feel closer to nature. Besides, tending to these plants is a way for me to connect with our child. I can feel their presence in every bloom and every leaf."

He smiled, his eyes softening with understanding. "I can't fault you for that, my love. It's just that you mean the world to me, and I want to ensure both you and our child are safe."
