At age 10After getting ready and dealing my daddy's slow driving,we finally reach the park. As soon as we pull up, I smell something delicious like peppermint and cinnamon. The smell is just so comforting I want to cuddle in it all day.As soon as the car stops, I open my car door andhead for the playground. I can hear my parents shouting for me to slow down but I ignore them. I have to find the amazing smell.I continue sniffing the air and looking around but I don't see any food around just other kids,all wolves like me. But then the smell hits me, I almost fall back. It's so strong I close my eyes and embrace it."Mia you're here". Ethan runs up to me and I recognize he is the yummy smell. His mum must have been baking again. She loves to cook and both Ethan and I love and eat her yummy food all the time.We run towards each other and stop just a foot apart. My arm starts to tingle and my forehead gets sweaty. " Hey I feel weird." I whine rubbing the sweat of my forehead."Something is going on. I feel weird also but it's a good weird." He grins. We step close together and Ethan grabs my hand interlocking our fingers. He presses his forehead to mine and I notice all my anxiety leaving me.We end up playing for hours while our parents watch from a bench they are sitting on. While Ethan plays soccer with some other wolves,I start building sandcastles when a boy with red curly hair comes over and kicks over my sandcastle while laughing."Hey that was not nice!" I stand up and brush the sand off my clothes. The mean redhead boy just glares at me."Shut up you little baby! You're ugly and I don't know why the future Alpha likes you. " He yells.I feel my eyes start to water and the redhead boy steps closer to me. I put my hands up to stop him from coming any closer."Ethan is my best friend and you are so rude that is why he is my friend and not yours so back off. " I wave my pointer finger at him.Apparently the boy doesn't like what I said because he pushes me hard. I fell on my butt hard and I look up to see him hovering over me with his fists balled up."I'm going to show you how we treat mouthy girls like you in our family." He growls and I see his fist come flying towards me.I close my eyes waiting for the impact but it never comes.

MIA'S POVThe stopping of the elevator makes Ethan pulls away.We make eye contact and he grabs my hand pulling me into his room. I look around shocked by the apartment as he's practically living in luxury while my friends and my friends and I are living in a shack compared to his room. Forget my friends. Not now. I try to let go of Ethan but he refuses."Ethan stop. My friends are probably worried". He ignores my statement and pulls me onto a couch. He sits down and I straddle his lap. My mouth opens to protest but he starts peppering kisses along my neck again and I melt into his embrace. "Fuck Mee. I've missed you so much". he whispers along my skin. A moan escapes me as he kisses along the crook of my neck where my mate will mark me. He hands are gripping my waist as I grind into his hard member.

ETHAN'S POVI take a sip of my whiskey feeling slightly buzzed when Liam elbows me and points to the crowd. It's Edward and he's making out with some she-wolf but according to how he described his mate, she's not it. The girl shoving her tongue down his throat has red hair and is wearing a blue sparkly dress. I take a deep sigh. " I feel sorry for whoever his mate is". Liam points to another spot in the crowd. " I think that's her but I'm not sure. She doesn't look like she cares about Edward though". I look at the spot he's pointing at and sees the back of a brunette. The girl has long wavy brown hair, a tight back dress and black boots. She is dancing alone. Unlike me, she looks like she is having the time of her life and for some reason I feel this pull to go to her so I stand up. "I'm going to talk to her". MIA'S POVAfter dodgeball, we go eat lunch then head back to our cabin and we take turns showering and gets ready for the night. Rhea made some new friends while she was on the sidelines and they told her about a bonfire tonight and we decided to go. Layla is reluctant to go but after been promised free beer,she changed her mind. Rhea is the most excited to go as she hopes she finds her mate while I just hope I don't run into that annoying Alpha Edward again. I put on a black short dress with my black wedged boots. MIA'S POVWe all take our bags to our room and start unpacking. I offered to share space with Layla but she said she only brought one bag and does not plan on unpacking. After unpacking, Rhea suggested we should walk around and get familiar with the place and I agree as I've been feeling anxious since we arrived though I'm not sure if it's being in a new place or all the different wolves around. Hopefully, a walk will help. Once outside, we pass many other cabin that looks like ours. ETHAN'S POVMost wolves can sense their mate after they turn eighteen but being of Alpha blood I should have been able to sense her after my first shift at thirteen, My mate might not have been able to sense it yet but I would know and I've been disappointed ever since hoping I would have met her by now. I have been to at least fifty different packs since I started shadowing my dad when I turned fourteen and I still haven't found her. My dad wants me to choose a Luna which means he chooses a Luna for me but I refuse. I told my father I would rather be mate less. I want my fated mate whoever she is.
