LOGINChapter 3 — Make a wish ..
GRANT
“…. Happy birthday to youuuuu”
The song ended and I faked a smile, so my daughter and families can relax and not take my stoic attitude personally.
It’s not that I hate birthday , I actually don’t give a fuck which day it is, I would rather be somewhere else.
Preferably between the thighs of a certain raven haired beauty currently hiding behind her friend at the far edge of the crowded table, blushing like a sinner in church.
Her name is Nova according to my daughter since she didn’t exchange name with me before choking on my dick.
She’s dressed like a damn nun today in a blue sweater so big it could fit two if her easily and jeans that swallowed her curves.
It’s almost insulting especially since I remembered vividly what she wore yesterday.
She’s looking so innocent but I swear she looks better with my cum dripping down her chin while her eyes watered from pain and pleasure.
My hand flexed involuntarily under the table and I want to tear those ugly clothes off her body so I can bite hard on those pink nipples I saw peeking out of her dress yesterday.
I itch to wrap my fingers around those soft freckled throat and I wish to do so with her leg around my waist while she makes those filthy moans and bouncing on my dick at the same time.
Our eyes lock across the table like my thought summoned her and she looked every shades of nervousness and flustered as she swallowed hard while her face reddened even more.
You can take the slut out of the bathroom but you can’t take the memory out of her head or the taste of me off her pink tongue.
A laugh from Lena snapped me back to reality just in time to hear her chant : “Make a wish daddy”
I forced another smile and leaned over the cake. But the only thing I’m wishing for,is her… Bent over the fucking dining table and covered in whip shots only while I make her scream my name like it’s her last prayer.
There’s something about her, I haven’t been able to take the mental picture of her looking innocent on her knees between my legs while looking up at me with her aroused chocolate eyes out of my head.
Something soft and sweet, something that needs to be corrupted by me.. I’m sure she yearns to be corrupted.
I can see it in her shy gaze which is a front for the seductress in her.
“I’m done”
I announced and they erupted with laughter and applause. I stand straight, forced few handshakes, thank you responses and very few hugs.
The staffs starts clearing the table for another course but my eyes never left her.
Lena mentioned one of her roommates would be staying here for a six month internship. It better not be the blonde with her nose in her phone, I don’t even remember her name.
The only girl I want under my roof isn’t even my daughter.

NOVA
If I could wish for a super power it wouldn't be converting my breath to dollars, it would be the ability to erase people’s memories, specifically a certain silvery fox and myself.
So I can forget last night and maybe erase the part where my best friend's dad cummed down my throat.
His heavy gaze has been on me since I greeted him earlier and I wonder why the people around us didn’t notice or call him out on that. His gaze is unsettling and a constant reminder of my bad decision.
Lena keeps asking if I’m okay and I kept assuring her, I shift uncomfortably in my seat praying this brunch ends soon.
Eventually people starts presenting their gifts with Lena going first, she hands him a sleek black box decorated with gold ribbons. He thanked her and dropped it into the luxury Hamper beside him without opening it. He repeats the same process for everyone who gifted him.
Then it’s my turn. I gripped the tiny box in my hand like my life depended on it.
“Happy Birthday Mr Calloway”
I said softly eyes on his shoes, holding it out to him and unlike the other gifts he dropped in the hamper, he tore mine open immediately, like it’s something special and I held my breath until he unveiled the dark black sleek hand chain that is masculine as well as simple in a classy way.
“Put it on me” he says
My breath stutters and my fingers tremble. I fumbled a little but clasp it on with a click. He pulled me into a brief side hug but I can feel his hand lingering too low on my back.
“This is beautiful Nova” he murmured “Thank you. And please call me Grant”
I felt Lena beside me before I saw her, “Any friend of Lena is my friend” he added.
I scoffed in my head but maintained the smile on my face as I made way for the next person presenting a gift, before I reached my seat Lena pulled me gently after her into a private restroom in the vacant hallway.
“You didn’t have to get him anything,” she says quickly. “He’s rich. It’s not necessary.”
“It’s something small I could afford with my savings,” I tried not to sound defensive but instead of answering she’s smoothing her hair and avoiding my eyes.
“He hasn’t opened mine yet,” she mutters.
“I’m sure he will,” I lied smoothly, she paused before saying something that froze me.
“My dad… he flirts. Don’t read too much into anything he does. Just take him like a father, okay?”
Take him like a father? If only she knew how I already took him. I nod anyway and hug her, thanking her for everything. Then she leaves, and I sag against the sink.
I stay longer in the restroom to hide from him, To hide from myself. I should feel disgusted and guilty but when I walked out and collided with a hard chest that smells like sandalwood and sin, I knew who it was.
“Sorry, Mr. Calloway—”
“Grant,”
he corrects. Then lowers his voice.
“But you will soon start to call me Daddy.”
His hand grabs my wrist, pulling me against his chest,my heart skips and my knees wobble.
“Someone might see us,” I whisper.
His thumb and forefinger pinch my bottom lip, tugging it down.
His touch is possessive and Dangerous while awaking something in me.
“Let them.”
SOLD TO MY BROTHER'S BEST FRIENDCHAPTER ONENALA'S POV"One more order and that's it tonight," Sue said from behind me, patting my back softly in the same motherly affection she'd always shown towards me."I'll try, Sue," I said gently, trying not to sound rude but letting her know it's not as easy as she thought."Cold beer. Table 12 is being dramatic. I moved into the suffocating area and gently navigated my way through the crowd focused on watching football and screaming their lungs out over players that didn't know about their existence. In between the tables, I dropped the necessary drinks where they bel

EPILOGUE: EVER AFTERNOVA POV - ONE YEAR LATERI stood in front of my vanity, staring at the pregnancy test sitting next to my New York Times bestseller plaque.Positive.Again.A smile spread across my face as I placed my hand on my still-flat stomach. Baby number three. Grant was going to lose his mind in the best way possible."Mama! Dad said we need to hurry or we'll be late!" Phoenix's voice carried from downstairs, followed by Asher's. "And Uncle Luca said if we're late, he's making us walk down the aisle in pink!"I laughed, tucking the pregnancy test into my pocket. I'd tell Grant later tonight, after Luca's wedding.Chaos reigned downstairs, Grant was trying to fix Phoenix's bowtie while Asher spun in circles, admiring how his little tux jacket flared out."Boys, please. Stand still for two seconds." Grant's voice held that mix of exasperation and affection that had become his default over the past year.My husband. Still surreal to think about sometimes. The past year has be
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND ELEVEN: VOWSGRANT POVI got back to the estate at dawn, two hours before anyone else was awake.Bianca was dead. Not by my hand directly—I wasn't that reckless—but by my order. Luca's people had made it look like an accident. Carbon monoxide leaked in her hotel room. Her body had been found by housekeeping and there were no signs of foul play or any connections to me.It was clean like I'd promised and somehow I should have felt something like maybe relief, vindication or even victory. But instead, I just felt tired.I'd watched from across the street as the ambulance arrived, watched them wheel out the body bag and the police come and go, marking it down as a tragic accident.Bianca Elena Sonnie, the Mother of my disowned daughter and the woman I'd once loved enough to marry was Dead at forty-eight.And all I felt was empty.Ivin met me in the foyer. "Welcome back, sir. Everything was quiet here. No incidents.""The boys?""Still struggling. Phoenix had anoth
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TEN: FORGIVENESSNOVA POVGrant had been gone for twelve hours. Twelve hours of me pacing the enormous house, jumping at every sound, watching the boys play with toys they didn't want in a room that felt like a gilded cage.Fuck. I was losing my mind. The boys were in the playroom with one of the nannies Grant had hired; another thing he'd done without asking me. Phoenix had finally stopped crying every few minutes, but only because he'd exhausted himself. Asher had barely spoken since we arrived.I missed Sam. God, I missed him so much it physically hurt.I missed Petals Creek, missed Mabel and the diner and my tiny apartment above the hardware store. Missed the simplicity of Elizabeth Moore's life. But Elizabeth Moore was dead. And Nova Hart was trapped in a mansion with a man who'd just left to commit murder. My phone buzzed. A text from an unknown number: I'm outside the gates. Security won't let me in. Tell them it's okay. - KatieKatie?I ran to the windo
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND NINE: HOMEGRANT POVThe drive took four hours. Four hours of Phoenix crying for Sam, of Asher's silent, accusatory stares. Four hours of Nova looking like she might shatter at any moment.I'd imagined this moment for six years. Finding them. Bringing them home. Finally having my family.I hadn't imagined it would feel like a kidnapping."We're almost there," I said, trying to sound reassuring. Neither boy responded. Phoenix had finally cried himself to sleep against Nova's side, his face red and blotchy. Asher just stared out the window, his small hand gripping Nova's.She wouldn't look at me. Hadn't looked at me since we left that motel. When the estate gates came into view, I felt a surge of pride. This was what I could give them. Security, Luxury and A future without limits. The car rolled up the long driveway, and I watched Asher's eyes widen as the mansion came into view. Good. Let him see what kind of life they'd have here."Boys," Nova said softly, shak
