Chapter 33

My whole body tensed up when I heard it.

Right after Greg told me Nick came out of the room. His dark brown hair was still half wet, he was wearing black pants and a white shirt. One of his hands carried his black coat. He looked up then smiled a little at me, "You guys haven't finished yet?"

I can hear Greg calling my name from the cellphone but I don't answer him. The smile on Nick's face faded as he walked towards me "Eleanor, what's wrong?" He put his jacket on the pantry table before grabbing my waist. My body jumped a little when he touched me making him pull the corners of his mouth down.

"There isn't anything" I answered quickly, I did not return the hug.

"Greg made you angry again?" He let go of the hug then took his phone from my hand to talk to Greg. My eyes stared at his broad chest which was half a meter away from me, but my mind was still stuck on Greg's last sentence. Elizabeth is dead?
