I woke up with a start, as my alarm went off. I sat there looking disoriented and confused. I grabbed my book and flipped to the page I was reading last night, I quickly slammed the book shut when I got to the part where the protagonist died. I always hated such an ending, but still, that doesn’t make me hate the book. I got ready in forty minutes, of which twenty minutes is to complete all my essential works and the rest is spent rummaging around my impossibly chaotic room for the things I needed. I have to clean it, I mentally add this to the list of thousand other things that I wish to do today that ought to have been done a week ago. Procrastination could be my middle name.    I balanced six of my books in the crook of my arms and head towards the passenger door of my car, I deposited them in the passenger seat I looked up at the dark sky. It appears like it might rain. I debated going in and grabbing a raincoat and umbrella, in the end decided against it and hopped in the driver seat. I was halfway to the college, when it started to rain. I sighed. I should have taken my day off and just enjoyed the rain with the company of a book and a perfect view of the rain from my window. I park my car and looked down at the pavement, it was flooded with rain water, and the students were running for cover into the buildings. I shouldn’t drop the books, as I make a run for it. I sighed. I got out and ran to the other side of my car, I grabbed all my books in my arms and hunched over it to protect it from the rain.                   I was clutching the seat with one hand and Maggie’s hand with the other. I don’t think I can hold on much longer…Fear gripped my throat and cut off the little supply of air I was gasping in. “Wake up sleepy head” someone whispered. I opened my eyes to see Maggie crouched beside me. Maggie? Realization stuck me. I quickly sat upright and rubbed my eyes deranged.“Does your head hurt Maggie?” I asked with a sleep thickened voice.“Not much” she answered not meeting my eyes, that worried me. I looked around to find that we were on top of a cliff. I stood up slowly to get a clear view. Only then I realized that we were on top of a huge mountain! It was cleanly cut into two halves with a wide crack right between them, we were on the smaller part of the mountain. Ethan was standing by the edge of the cliff. We joined him. There were dark cluster of trees right at the foot of the mountain halves and it is evident that the river was flowing in between them. Across from us on the other side, there was nothing but barren rough rocky surface with huge cluster of trees on the horizon. “Maggie!?” I shrieked at the top of my lungs and dragged my legs through the forest floor as fast as I can. Ethan was right behind me. I stopped suddenly, it sounded like she was somewhere here.“Maggie?” I called out again.“Ana!” her voice exclaimed right above me?
