All this family stuff is foreign to me. I’ve never once been part of a real family; the closest I’ve ever come was living with Beth, and even then, it was all D/s. Yes, I loved her but since being with Ella and Jace, I’ve learned that my love for Beth was such a different type of love than what I have with these two.

Sitting back and watching everyone interact with each other both saddens me and makes me happy. I lost out on a lot having the parents that I had. Ella, she’s trying so hard to make me feel comfortable, but it doesn’t matter what she does, I won’t feel comfortable being in the setting for a while. It always takes me longer than others to adjust, again, I can thank that to my own home life. I do give both the Baxter’s and the Palmers credit, though, because they accepted me right away, making me feel welcome right from the start.
