My Dangerous Hybrid

Prologue......

I spranged out of my bed immediately the annoying sound of my alarm woke me up. Most times my alarm had always been so annoying, especially when I needed more sleep feeling weak and tired. But today ,I felt happy it rang , the sound felt.like sweet musicb to my ear.

The joy of waking up when you're finally turning 18 and ready to find and get connected to your mate , ready for the goddess to choose a mate for you, I just couldn't wait,that sweet feeling,the joy that comes with it . I just hope she doesn't make him reject me again like she always does .

I have been rejected countless times by our white crystal goddess for many years,many times now and believe me ,it kills me slowly. But now ,my only joy is the fact that I have my great grandmother who is also the great white wolf of our pack to continue protecting our pack ,at least untill the crystal goodness decides to consider me .

I don't think I'm ready ,and I also don't think I'll ever be ready to take over the leadership role and become the next great white wolf. Even if I want to ,I can't just because I have been rejected

As a gazed at myself in the mirror hung on the wall of my classy room , I admired myself and surely ,my mate would also admire me

Since I've always been rejected I only dreamt about a sweet and blissful love with my chosen mate, nothing more, and going through the pain of rejection that has always kept me through

"'mother I'm ready" I called as I rolled around with my big round beautiful gown

She's my great-grandmother, but I do call her mother. Losing my parents when I clocked 5 made me grow so fond of her afterwards, and being a little girl she showed me great love and care

"As usual my child look so stunning"I heard a voice from afar as it echoed through the passageway,I turned around and like flash,she appeared in front of me holding her staff of authority

I hugged her tight beaming with joy when she smiled

" Today, as you turn 18, I bless you my lovely child, I bless you with a mate of your dream, I pray to the crystal goddess to choose just for you a suitable, responsible, caring and most especially strong mate one that will protect you and our Pack" she raised her staff up and immediately dark smokes emanated from it instead of white smokes

Shocked, we both look at each other,though I might not have been chosen to lead my pack but my great-grandmother teaches me everything a leader should know. I even got to know about our dancing steps whenever we need to summon the crystal goddess

All gathered my people outside, awaited me and my great-grandmother, getting ready for the ceremony, the sound of drums could be heard as all the maidens who turned 18 were also going to be blessed with a mate

Suddenly from inside I could hear screams of people outside,I and my great-grandmother ran out immediately and she kept on sensing danger

" Rogues,rogues , rogues"we could hear the screams of members of our pack as they all ran towards the narrow direction to where our safe house was protecting their loved ones

"Hurry we need to get into the safe house hurry"my great-grandmother screamed, before I could return back to my senses she held my hand tight and together we started running. Even as an old woman she was given strength and power by the Crystal goddess and she was able to defeat about 10 men all by herselfself.

But even with such powers, she feared for her people as she tried protecting them. 

I killed her, I killed my great-grandmother.

as we continued running I turned back just to see a little girl crying as the rogues were getting closer to her " mother ,look " I shouted immediately releasing my hand from her as she turned back

" Arabella,go on , I'll catch up with you keep our people safe and stay safe too "she said to me and immediately turned around running to go save the little girl 

She raised her staff up but surprisingly nothing happened, as much as I was surprised I could also see a surprised look on her face

" Why isn't the crystal goddess helping us at a time like this ,we really need her and she chose to abandon us?

" Arabella, watch out " she screamed my name , Making me flinch in fear a little as I turned around just to see a rogue running towards me , it wasn't just any type of rogue, but a dangerous one. A fierce one and I could see it in his eyes .

I couldn't move, as much as I wanted to run away ,I just couldn't move,my legs felt like they were glued to the ground and I didn't know why . My eyes balls opened widely as he came closer to me in his werewolf form , but I'm unable to shift and protect myself 

In that spot ,in anger my great-grandmother shifted , turning into a full werewolf, her furs were as white as snow, and unimaginably she looked so beautiful " is that who I'm meant to be when I shift , ? "

Seeing that she was distracted , one of the rogue used his claws to tear her skin open just beside her belly ,she howled a little in pain. I felt useless, I couldn't do anything 

Not willing and ready to give up , she ran towards me before a rogue could use his claws on me and immediately scratched his eyes which made him scream in pain . I fell down immediately in fear and surprisingly I could move again.

" Run Arabella, run "she screamed as she kept on fighting. I turn around holding my long gown to run, but then suddenly I stopped, my legs stop moving, my heartbeat almost stopped, my legs becoming weaker

There were three, no,four . She looked at me with her eyes turned red and finally fell to the ground and they kept on using their jaws on her, tearing her skin. Her beautiful furs covered in her own blood.

" I love you my child "those were her final word, I could hear her because she had said so when she mind linked me even if she didn't speak loudly. With tears which rolled down my eyes, and anger building up in me, I ran towards them ( the rogues)

They all raised their head looking at me, I was sure they would kill.me if I didn't turn around I would be dead in few minutes, but I didn't care .

As they all stormed towards me , we all heard the deep howling of a wolf . It wasn't just any type of wolf ,but that howl had a massive authority in it,even the trees could feel it, I stood still immediately looking around, while the rogues all ran away in fear , never in my life have I ever seen such before, I could feel the power of the wolf , "AN ALPHA " I screamed and fell on the floor , passing out immediately
